The imminent demise of Blue+ was flagged up on here for at least a week prior to it's axing.
More than enough time to make a move.

Sorry but I was out of the country during that week (and didn't have wifi when I was underwater scubar diving :-)
But hey - I'm not complaining and I don't think anyone was.

The big advantage of Blue+ was that it ran through two winters, not one.
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)

I decided last night to jump ship via Quidco to SP from EDF even though I'd already put in to change tariff form EDF's Fixed S@ver V2 to Blue+ on 1st October.

The extra 3 months fixed with EDF (Jan/Feb/Mar 2014) was one of my main considerations for not switching. However the £42 cashback plus the £125 I will save on the cheaper SP tariff over 15 months to Dec 2013 means my monthly payments would need to increase by 43% for the 3 months after SP's fixed deal ends to have made Blue+ a better option.

Although not impossible I consider that increase would be improbable.
