Edf have pulled blue plus tariff ;( now what,
So annoyed with myself as I called up on Friday to be told totally different usage figures which would have made edf the cheapest compared to what I was told the previous week.
Today I called ready to sign up and they have pulled the tariff ;(
Now what? First utility here I come before they pull that too.

Phew! I got in with a week to spare, after being screwed with a potential 30% hike (by adding standing charge) by Sse, just shows you have to be so quick and canny nowerdays.
Strangly Sse haven't been in touch to offer me anything better, suppose they just can't.
I feel for you Shaggy.0 -
Well it is my own fault as I've been umming for weeks about the tariff lol
Oh well no point stressing about it. I'm off to first utility who work out veer similarly priced anyway.0 -
Scottish Power have no exit fees to pay and they come next on the comparison site, and from memory I think they are fixed until January 20130

Can I just confirm that on Fixed saver V2 I have to wait until 1st October before switching (was on holiday when they pulled EDF blue).0

This is ridiculous, I spoke to one of their advisers on Friday and they didn't tell me anything! Waste of both of our time! :PSaving £10,000 in 2013: £4491.48/£10,0000

same here. I on the online v2 at the moment. I called them two weeks ago and was told some ridiculous typical usage for me over the past year. I was also told by EDF at the time first:utility would be cheaper. I then used those typical usage figures online comparison sites and other tariffs like first:utility came out better, so I just left it there.
last friday I called up again and was quoted much more realistic typical usage figures over the past year, mainly because the advisor actually bothered to look at my meter reads over the last year! Using these figures I found that EDF would be the cheapest. I should have taken the tarriff there and then but thought I'd leave it until Monday.
My own fault really for leaving it. Its only a matter of a few quid per years difference between this and Scottish Power's offering, which will be made up anyway if I get the £42 quidco.
Now, the question is, whether to start the transfer today or wait because If I leace EDF online saver v2 before 30th Sept I will get charged a penalty.0 -
I chatted to an advisor online at EDF today.
They said they have a new tarriff coming out "very soon" but I was unable to pin them down date wise.
I think I'm going to wait, although that is a bit of a risk.0 -
just been off the phone to both Scottish Power and EDF
Scottish Power: if you start the transfer request today the earliest you'll be moved over is mid October.
EDF: If you start the request today, its within the '15 working days of your notification' so you wont be charged an exit fee from Online v2.
I have a letter from EDF stating this, so will move tarriffs as soon as I get a bit of time with Quidco
