Piggers yes it was a year ago that DS1 was in plaster it was just after we came back from your place that he slipped on the crutch and fell through the glass door and nearly killed himself. I no longer have any glass doors so no chance of OH doing that. OH is not as good a patient as DS1 either. Need to wait a fortnight to find out if he has to have an op or not:eek: OH away into his work just now to fill out forms because it happened at work aparently its like war and peace:eek:I'm not a muggle...I'm just magically challenged0 -
Hi there
A quick post to say hello to all newbies or returners. Hi Vanilla, nice to 'see' you again and I'm glad all is well with you. Warm vibes and wishes to all those feeling low or poorly, I hope all those BDs run off soon.
Just finished a last tidy up and ALL the ironing before visitors arrive. OH doing a last quick paint of six feet of fencing that looks really worn! Really pleased with what we've accomplished here, thank you.
I'll be bobbing in and out, but I hope everyone has a good week. R x0 -
Hi all
I'm catching up with the end of last week's Fred, as I was rather busy yesterday, and didn't get as far as reading the Flylady Fred.:o
Rowan tree and Witchwoopiggy maybe we could start a Bungalow Club. I live in one, too!:D I was lucky, Mr LW already had a bungalow when I moved in with him, as I can't manage stairs any more.
Roundtuit my best wishes to you, and hope you can get your iron levels sorted out soon. (As I said, I'm playing catch-up, or I'd have spoken to you before this).:o
Michelle I've never washed my ironing board cover either. It's a stick-on one with a reflective surface – and Mr LW is Chief of Ironing in the Wolf's Lair;;) really, he only does his shirts and chinos for work, and the occasional item of mine that's badly scrumpled. He's also Chief of Shoe-Cleaning, so that's the extras taken care of!:D I'd sooner scrub to loo than clean shoes.
Rowan tree your friend irons knickers?? 1. Life's too short. 2. There's not enough material in mine to iron!;)
Vanilla WB mate. I wondered where you'd got to, but wasn't confident enough to ask in case anyone though I was being nosy.:o
I've [STRIKE]dashed[/STRIKE] hobbled at speed to get the kitchen all done; tidied a few cupboards at the same time.:T I need to do the whole place in three days this week, as Mr LW has Thursday and Friday and all next week off. We're not actually going away, but he'll want us to go out and do stuff, not have me doing chores.;)
I found a silly little bit of cocoa powder in the bottom of a tub, so that's been used to make some chocolate ice-cream.;)If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Hi everyone, I'm in this week after a couple of months AWOL.
One quick question - I have a metallised ironing board cover. Can I put this in the washing machine?0 -
Ah well, best laid HHC plans ..... hung the washing out (I just know it's going to rain, but in the meantime it's nice and blowy), emptied DW - both those jobs should have been done hours ago, started tidying upstairs and heard the 'phone ringing - the BD waited for it to go to answerphone until I realised it was FIL, so I spent the rest of the HHC talking to FIL and SMIL. Thinking will do a little more footling then make lunch for the start of this pm's Parade.Work is not my Hobby0

Rhys is away, he never cried even when others did. He went straight to the sand pit...didn't even look back.:rotfl:He tried to sneek a bag of crisps into his bag, he thought he needed some lunch. :rotfl:
Rowan tree and LW cheers. LW it got so busy with the charity stuff but they raised over £1000 so well worth it. :j:j
Right i best put my time to good use and get back to flying..:D“Life is short, live it. Love is rare, grab it. Anger is bad, dump it. Fear is awful, face it. Memories are sweet, cherish it.”0 -
Bum, bum, bum, bum, BUM!!!! The chap who was going to take half the voluntary paperwork off me has cried off.:(:(:(If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0
