    Well done, toochosey!

In 40 minutes I managed to:

Write birthday cards that need posting this week
Wrap up DGD's birthday present (she will be 2 on 24th - I have never been this far ahead of myself before!) and put it with the pile of things to take with me when I visit them next week
    Tidied the sitting room
Moved the Dyson from the study where it had been languishing since last week to its proper home under the stairs, hoovering every room as I went (study, sitting room, breakfast room and kitchen, hall)
Complete Levels 1 and 2 for kitchen and breakfast room
    Mopped kitchen floor
    S&S'd downstairs WC
    Put away a vase
Started off a batch of yogurt in the EasyYo
Used the rest of the boiling water to make myself a cup of coffee which I am decluttering as I type
Took clean washing out of WM
    Checked ironing board cover
Started another load including IBC and the thick pad underneath it

Very pleased with what I've achieved - it's amazing what a bit of encouragement will do! :j

Just need to hang out 2nd load of washing, then there's one more ready to go in the machine, and I'll do the little bit of ironing tonight while catching up on normal TV - assuming that the IBC hasn't disintegrated :D

Now I must get down to "proper" work. This week, among other things, I have to design take-apart-and-easy-rebuild models of a castle, terraced houses and a Georgian mansion, as well as drawing out a plan of the Temple in Jerusalem. And Wednesday has become a non-work day, what with DH's hospital appointment and a request from a friend to pick up her 6yo daughter from school and play with her for a couple of hours until Mum gets home from a meeting. All good fun!

Hope everyone has a good day.

  • I've just put seat covers on the DR chairs - they've been foam only pads for ages, DH and DS bought me some off cuts of material a while ago and I'd no idea what to do with it [silky stuff] so I decided to cover the chairs with it until I can afford some really nice stuff - so material cut to shape and tacked in place, chair pads put back on chairs and I'm actually quite pleased with the results - the material may stay on longer than intended :]]

Still waiting for the Police to arrive!

DH has now moved himself to bed so I'll do some ironing now

    Afternoon all

Hugs for all those lacking sleep, so with you all, running on hyper here I know.

Got a call at 8:52 to pick DS2 up from school and he wasn't well, just managed the 40 minute round trip to get back in time for meeting with the Head and I've just arrived back now.

DS2 wants some plain biscuits so I'll walk to the corner shop and then a cuppa and meal plan, day wizzing away from me already.

Helen well done on the seat pads

Bossy well done for going to the GP, hope it goes well
