Not doing much flying this week - just enough to keep up with Levels 1 and 2 and sometimes 3 where relevant. Spare rooms are not neglected, just unused, and we don't have kids, so that lets me off today's list. :)

Today I have S&S'd kitchen and bathroom, dusted and hoovered sitting room and hall, and spent nearly 2 hours decluttering with a friend :D
    :bdaycake: :coffee: :coffee:
Actually, it's nobody's birthday, but I made a carrot cake at the weekend and it is very good.

Must get down to work now... or perhaps I need another :coffee: first, to help me concentrate - it's 2 hours since my last one ;)

@cat_smith, don't panic, take a deep breath and just fly: we're all behind you!

(((Hugs))) to all who need them today.

Some progress made. The loos have been cleaned. The kettle has been descaled. (I have the pit bull hardness of water like Lamewolf). I'm struggling to get to grips with the shared bedroom of DS3 and DD2. There is so much 'stuff' all over the place it's really difficult to make any headway. I have 2 big bags on bottom bunk to collect all the outgrown clothes. I'm having to dip into the winter storage boxes for fleeces for the school run so it won't be long before all the summer stuff will be put away. The bunk beds have been changed. 3 loads of washing have been processed. 4th is half way through the cycle. 3 loads to go.

DD1 is home from work. She has gone to bed (she was on a 4-10 shift). I need to vac the HSL to give me a 15 minute distraction from the nightmare that is the kids bedroom.

Been swimming! Was really good. They chucked loads of floats and watering cans in so the kiddies had a ball. DS was happy he can now stand up in it, so he was off, and happy to kick off and swim with his arm bands on. He did really good, he's really getting his confidence back. DD just wanted to pour water, lol.

I enjoyed it, it wasn't stressful, even getting a tired 2yo dry who didn't want to come home. Usually I'd be feeling pretty frazzled, so am hoping these tablets are the cause, and long may it continue!

After tea I think we'll play upstairs so I can have a sort in the kids wardrobes and get the summer stuff put away. I take it we're not in for a heat wave next week?

DD1 has thoughtfully left her empty suitcase on the landing for the last 4 days. If I wait for her to put it away it will still be there at Christmas so I stowed it in the coat cupboard under the stairs. I gave the coat a cupboard a good clear out and have 3 girls coats age 4/5/6 to get rid of.

I'm just grabbing a late lunch then I'll give the shared bedroom my attention for 3/4 H until I do the school run.

Deep breath and in I go....

Glad you all had a good time, bossymoo. My two DGSs went swimming at school for the first time on Monday and loved it - DD said they weren't at all tired afterwards  though I think she would have preferred them to have used up a little bit of their energy before they came home!

As for the heat wave, it depends where you are, and there seems to be no logic to the weather nowadays. My garden here in the East of England is wilting through lack of water, though the long range forecast for our area keeps promising rain. My friend who lives just 7 miles away, slightly to the north of us, said that they had a downpour yesterday evening and well into the night - but it missed us completely. All I know is that I'm wearing a fleecy cardigan rather than putting the heating on in the house, and it's too cold to go out in sandals any more, brrrr! We are due to go on holiday at the beginning of October, so that will doubtless mean rain (or worse) in South Wales then... :snow_laug
