It was discussed - but the cleaners would NOT be happy so it didn't happen!
The main problem is that the price of school dinners has gone up - and i think people are put off by this. We are lucky that we have 2 halls in the school ( old Victorian building - with classrooms opening off a central hall on 2 floors!). We have the packups in the lower hall and we are rapidly running out of space.:jFlylady and proud of it:j0 -

so happy cleaners but exhausted and badbacked dinner staff:mad:
just got distracted by sending some family history stuff to a relly of my DH, ive got his great grandfather and uncle back as far as WWI his great uncle died there but mil says he died on a boat explosion and ive found him listed on a memorial in france and and a war diary entry listing his name and service number as killed fighting in trenches near Lorgnies. her dad had a shouler injury and he insists he was on the same boat has his brother and recieved a medal for trying to save him, as far as i can make out her dad joined after his brother was killed and got the 3 medals all soldiers got for serving. i get curious but if mil think its heading down a route she doesnt want to know about she will stop looking. she was mortified when i found after months of searching andgetting nowwhere that her elder 7 siblings were illigitmate and had different dads and her mum didnt marry untill she had the last 3 children. oh how times change no one bats an eyelid at those sort of things now.SPC~12 ot 124

HHC at 9:00...
stragglers welcome!
Already well underway with what will be multiple HHI's today!
DD2 is getting really upset as one by one her mates leave for Uni and I don't really know what to say to her.
She knows I am proud that she has chosen the path she has and not gone to Uni when her heart isn't in it......
Some of her mates are doing gap years/the Art Foundation course at college - and i think one of the problems is that they are experiencing new things whereas DD2 is doing the same job as last year ( local after school club)....:jFlylady and proud of it:j0 -

Catch up on any jobs from earlier in the week, done that then put your feet up and have a cuppa0 -
mrs-moneypenny - you summed it up perfectly! There are only 2 of us to set up ( we get 15mins) and at the moments that's putting up 16 large tables and putting out 128 chairs ( the tables and chairs for reception are perm out in the hall).....
And this week is going very slowly! And I am cream crackered!
Boss has mentioned 2 sittings for packups, but that would mean that we wouldn't get out into the playground as we'd still be tidying up!
What we need is another staff member - but that ain't gonna happen due to budget problems...:jFlylady and proud of it:j0
