I want to know how to actually set up DD to these accounts once opened? In particular the Post Office Online Saver account. Do I need to go into a branch and set it up? because there doesn't seem to be an option to do so online0

Just a warning to ING customers will have their existing DD killed at the time their savings account is finally moved over to the Barclays system, and cannot be resurrected. This information was rather hidden in a massive info pack they sent me.
Yes I suspected that too when I received the pack.
I am using an ING direct debit to qualify for the Santander 123 current account interest rate (the second DD was from a Tesco "Internet Saver" account), so will have to find some other way of setting up a DD to replace it.
Are there any other easy sources of DDs? I assume the Tesco account only allows 1 DD to be set up, so is it possible to set up a second tesco account that allows a DD to be set up aswell? If so is there a particular Tesco account type that I would have to specifically choose?0 -

Going into branch don't normally have anything to do with Online A/cs? I also cannot find it? BUT, it's linked to my main HSBC A/c, nominated A/c.0 -
I'd set up a Tesco DD to pull from Lloyds Club, it appears in the list when logged on and had written confirmation for it, but it hasn't appeared in the account for the day it's due. Does anyone know how long it should take to show as being debited from Lloyds and credited to Tesco account after the due date?0

- Under Savings Account Management select Change nominated Account.
- Follow the on-screen instructions.
If you change your nominated account you will need to set up a new Direct Debit mandate with your new bank account. This will take up to 8 business days.
You can also change your nominated account by downloading the Direct Debit mandate, (PDF, 195KB) and sending it to us at:

You weren't taking the easy route by choosing the Santander DDs but they were still on the list I compiled what now seems a million years ago, albeit with a disclaimer. Even though I said I no longer maintain the original list, I have now taken Santander off that list because it is too painful to watch the self-harm people are doing thselves with it. Not sure anyone will take any notice, but at least I can't be blamed now.
Why don't you just go with the Tesco DDs and end chasing the Santander ones - it's what I have been suggesting for months.
I think many pepole now use Tesco DDs. The trouble is in the most accounts you need 2 different ones to qualify for. This is where many people(like myself) are facing this problem with the Santander DDs. Any suggestion for any company which would have DDs as easy to open as the Tesco?0 -

Has anyone else not had their everyday saver "funding mandates" go through this month? Mine and OH were due to go yesterday and still haven't gone from my Halifax Reward accounts (don't think it's Halifax as they've gone to Tesco accounts). They never managed to set up the one from my Lloyds Club and it looks like they're not pulling my old ones now. Looks like I'll have to open another Tesco account in the end.
