Well I did it - cobbled a personal statement together and submitted an application form for a new job. No idea if I stand any chance of an interview but at least I did it and finally completed a full application form at long last. Even if I don't get an interview I'm pleased to have got to this point instead of always putting it off and not applying when I see job advertised and I am sure something will come up that suits me and the employer perfectly. I am so glad I had that meeting last week with the careers advisor as it gave me the umph thats been missing for a long time. So much so I made my friend at work an appt too to help her with what she wants to do and we wrote some points down for her to take into the meeting otherwise she won't get around to it!

What else? We closed early at work due to the weather conditions and I'm hoping I can get in ok in the morning and get back ok too as its looks pretty snowy for a lot of tomorrow. Chocolate eaten - oh well never mind! My treat for staying the same at the WI today and a day off exercise too due to working late

Early night as usual and of course, NSD 11 today - 4 more to go, don't think that will be too hard work as very few pennies left!

Have got an email from the bank offering me a 0% BT deal which if I do get it I'll have to sit down with shock as its one thing I've wanted for ages and I will be able to transfter the amount off one high APR card and get it down over 9mths which might bring my DFD closer. All of this would be nice, hoping I don't get screened out of the credit scoring - will see.

    What to report today?

Snow arrived this afternoon just as I got back home - light flurries but boy is it cold!

A £2 coin from the self service till - into the savings pot! £1 into the used up beauty pot which is totting up nicely and some 20ps into the pot for saving them.

Walked up to town after work to take the clothes back from last weekend. Got the refund onto my giftcard which I am pleased with and also picked up some bargain costume jewellery in the final reductions - £2 each for 2 necklaces and also a bracelet and necklace set - all reduced from £15 each.

Total clothes spends so far £20 for the year ahead - on target even though I didn't make the NSD Jan I thought I might

Finally, said a sad goodbye to a colleague who is leaving today for well deserved pastures new. We have become good friends over the last few years with a lot in common and we all nearly had a little weep when I said goodbye and I think there might have been tears later on! Looking forward to the leaving do in a couple of weeks time which I think might be quite messy for some!

Right its nails tidy up time and then an early night as I'm feeling pretty tired.

I tidied my nails up last night and applied the strengthner leaving them to paint today at some stage.

Took the dog on his longer weekend walk and he's now snoozing away. I've done Shred this morning to make sure I did it and didn't talk myself out of it later on. So the exercise is done for today, having a little rest now before a coffee shortly and then crack on with some of the things to do this weekend. Maybe some soup making and a bit of baking

A very busy day at home today

Made 6 portions of brocoli and stilton soup
Made 10 jars of marmalade - ran out of jars though
Cleaning done apart from the bathroom which I'll do tomorrow
    Washing all done
    Ironing all done
Crumble made for pud and leftovers for the next 2 days

Only a bit to do tomorrow which frees up some time tomorrow for uni work in the afternoon

Next thing is to watch the DVD ready to post back tomorrow and paint my nails while watching it with a hot chocolate - yum yum yum!

    NSD 12/15 today too!

    A nice morning so far.

Long weekend dog walk then back to do Shred, going ok and will stick to L1 for another week before moving on as my stamina is still not back at the level I like it to be. Still building fitness back up after that viral infection.

Went up to town to collect the bargain dress - tried it on and thought no, its just not me so back it went straight away and got 2 shirts instead for the same price of £12 for them both. Very nice reduced from £25 and £22.50 and nboth are a size 8 and fitted perfectly which was also nice for one getting back to that shape and size and also an shirt that fits perfectly rather than being too big which a lot of my clothes are so that made a very nice change indeed and well worth £6 each. One is deep pink and the other a rather smart stretch cotton snakeskin print. As you can tell I'm rather pleased with those rather than a dress I will wear once, it was nice, just too voluminous on the skirt.

What else then? Bit more ironing to do this afternoon from yesterdays wash then an hour of study, longer dog walk and get tucked back up again inside in the warm

I attempted to get to work to be thwarted by all the severe traffic problems out there so after a while turned round to get back home and try again later. Rang work who kindly told me not to bother coming in as I might just have to turn around again and set off back home as it was still snowing heavily.

Good job as I am feeling a little unwell today and so far have just sat under a blanket keeping warm all morning. I did finally manage to apply for the balance transfer offer so lets see if they let me have some 0% for a while which would be a welcome and unexpected surprise!

Cancelled the meeting with my uni tutor today and think I'll get on with some study this afternoon instead

Well this afternoon was productive. Cold symptoms disappeared after yesterday and today not doing much apart from sitting down. I sat down and finished off the loose ends on my ethics application for uni.

All typed up leaving it probably needing a polish up after I next meet up with my tutor hopefully in the next couple of weeks then it can be submitted leaving me getting on with the next stages of the dissertation which will be finalising recruitment details and then lots and lots of work on my final protocol. Hoping to get some of this done next weekend and then by mid Feb for the rest.

Feeling a bit more on the ball with it than I did last week so that's a good feeling compared to the slight anxious feeling which was creeping in about how much there was to do over the next 6mths.

    NSD 13/15 today!

    NSD 14/15 today - nice!

Emailed the application to my tutor who sent it back with some useful comments. Have done the easy changes today and will have a go at some of the longer ones tomorrow and Friday ready for our meeting on Monday.

Also Extreme Shed and Shredded today which went very well on L1 getting better at long last! Also lending 30 Day Shred to a colleague to help his partner get into some quick and very efficient exercise after work as she's not too keen on the gym which I entirely inderstand as neither am I and I wanted her to see how you can get fit without the gym and also in less time than it takes to get to the gym. I am certainly enjoying the Extreme version and looking forward to starting L2 at the weekend and then hopefully the weather will improve to get out running again

Yesterday reached NSD target of 15/15! Today was spend day with top up shop, money out for tomorrow's treat after I've dropped the car off for its job I've put off for a long time. So should be able to count tomorrow as I have all the pennies ready to go for payment and treat

    2 bits of fabbiness today which are these;

WI day today which meant 1lb dropped off leaving only 1lb to go and back to target weight where I was before that horrible virus and crimbo - brill!

Then, a colleague who works with me, who I don't see a great deal to talk to, while we were chatting thought I was waaaaay younger than I am and was very surprised when I told him. Now that was a fabulous surprise!

Also did more uni work today while at work and have incorporated most of the alterations needed bar the final few to discuss on Monday

Car dropped off for timing belt job and walked back, called into Mr S for a few bits. Today's treat turned out to be a lemon sole rather than a pack of creme eggs or bar of chocolate as part of the switch the fish deal where one was free if you bought another first. Wasn't totally angelic though - bought a pack of chocolate biscuits for a little treat over the weekend and next week.

That's tonights tea sorted and I've swopped it for tomorrow's which is the first time trying veggie shepherds pie. Baked apples for pud and then I'll russle something up from the cupboards for Sunday.

It's 1 more pound to go for the weight loss to get back to where I was before. I realise now why the buffer zone is important to give a bit of allowance and also the ability to get back to where you want to before control disappears. Hoping to get there next week and also time to update my measurements too this weekend
