Blimey, marathon listing session this afternoon - 26 items listed on ebay. 4 more to do this evening and I think that's about it for this free listing weekend!
Not bad considering I only discovered this late on yesterday evening
Cold, damp, miserable dismal day here today put to good use while I sit here not up to much at all recovering on mum's orders. Will have to see if I'm up to some uni work next week if I can make sense of what I'm reading after 3 weeks of no work at all and have a lot to do before the next meeting at the end of the month. Its already nibbling away at my mind and this weekend has given me a sense of how relaxing life and weekend's will be once this academic year is finished in August and that dissertation is finished and submitted. It's going to be a long haul but boy will I be glad when I get there!
Happily a NSD 2 today, and aiming for another one tomorrow too as part of the fiscal fast this week. Today as gone well as part of this, let the rest of the week progress the same!final unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550 -
28 items now listed and that's it for this time around. 1 can't list and the other one is waiting now until these are finished
Let's see how these get on over the next week then
Bit quieter here tonight thankfully so shall be an early night here and then much the same tomorrow which means not too much!final unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550 -
While I'm still off work recovering thought I'd do a job I've put off for quite a while and finally started my 1% notebook to tackle to credit cards 1% at a time.
Here we go then wIth the correct 1% totals for the 4 credit cards:
MBNA 1% = £29.57
Virgin 1% = £28.99
M+S 1% = £26.71
HSBC 1% = £7.40
Total 1% for November = £92.66
Sales from ebay at the weekend came to around £25 and have 2 bids on items listed yesterday. From my totals it looks like I need to make about £100 per month to tackle the 1% extra debt repayment per month.
I have around £200 and 2% made from ebay to put towards this after taking out money for the car service and MOT.
Time now to set up my 100 square grid and get colouring in those squares!
I have at last made a list of all the extra money making ways to put into practice over the next few weeks and months which for me will mainly be ebaying and decluttering
ornaments
unused beauty products and make up all sealed and new
clothes that no longer fit
shoes that never fitted in the first place
spare furniture
unused unwanted gym equipment
unused electrical equipment
Then its onto music magpie and green metropolis for unwanted music and books and by that point I might have clutter free house again, greatly reduced debt on credit cards and a decluttered mind!
NSD 3 today - Fiscal Fast is progressing well for the 2nd day this week. Just need to remind myself that I don't have any money to spend anyway and I have a lot of food in already to eat to last a long time!final unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550 -
Felt very unwell this afternoon so just laid on the settee to try and rest.
Then took Mr Dog out for his walk before the fireworks started again for hopefully the last night this year, and decided to sort some paperwork out which was quite a restful job and one I have put off for a long long time. Prompted by needing some for when I go back to work - thankfully found it. A load of paper sorted out now - big pile into recycling, big pile for shredding and much smaller pile to file tomorrow which shouldn't be such a big job thankfully.
Then will sort out the final bag this week and order is resumed paperwork wise - now that is a job put off for a long time, one I don't get around to and feels good to have done it at long last!
Parcelled up ebay sales to post tomorrow - will see how I feel whether to drive or walk to the post office - if its damp I'll drive as its setting my infection off. What happened to me who could run 14miles eh? Still, rest now, then recover and then life gets back to normal and exercise can resumefinal unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550 -

Ebay sales posted today, still waiting for one payment to come through before the rest finish at the weekend again.
Also collected clothes order while out to get this job done - purple trousers a bit tight around my waist although fit everywhere else and lovely soft material. Was tough and stuck to my mantra of if it's not perfect then it goes back for a refund. Also another top wan't terribly flattering even though the material was gorgeous and it only cost £5.60 there is no point keeping it because of the cost, so off it goes back. The final one for return is a cowl neck top which just not sure about the colour taupe on me - off that goes too for a refund.
Meaning, much happier and less guiltily, the splurge was not too bad at all and came to £20 in total on 3 tops. Another £14.40 on tops for mum for Christmas if they fit her and she likes them otherwise they're going back too. Already that sounds better at 5 tops for £34.40 coming in at £6.88 each at the most.
Unfortunately didn't manage to stick to the Fiscal Fast today - while collecting the clothes order. just happened to see the manager's reductions rail and came across a pair of trousers and a skirt for £5 each for work - both reduced from £25 meaning £10 spent instead of £50 - not that I would have spent that on them but they're good for work and I've wanted a new bargain pair of work trousers for a while so you could say I'm happy with that price. Having said that I'm disappointed with myself for not sticking to the Fiscal Fast today. Still tomorrow is another day and aiming for a NSD Wed/Thurs.
Trying to keep warm on this most miserable day under a snuggly blanket and plenty of layers on. Final bit of sorting of paperwork later on this afternoon and then its onto the filing marathonfinal unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550 -
Very pleased to announce I have completed the paperwork sort out which took a couple of hours. Meaning I no longer have piles of paperwork everywhere. As much as possible into the recycling bin, rest for shredding and then a smallish pile for filing over the next couple of days.
At least while I have been off sick I have managed to tackle some jobs I have put off for a long time - eg paperwork sorting out and credit card debt repayment and restarted selling on ebay to repay credit cards debts. Even though this is worse I have felt through illness I have still managed to sort out quite a lot from being stuck in resting and not be up to much. Usually I don't sit down and give myself time to do this as life feels so fast paced trying to squeeze everything in - I'm happy I've done this at long last - the final piece of the jigsaw moving into place into this phase of change and something I've wanted to do for a long long time.
My chest feels very weak and I need to go back to the Dr's to be assessed to go back to work next week and I'd better ring tomorrow to see if I can get an apptfinal unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550 -
Played around with snowball calulator this moring to see what difference the ebay sales would make to the repayments and DFD. Turns out at things stand the date will reduce to 22mths once they're paid. Just waiting for the car service and MOT to see if it will cost anymore then its full steam ahead to pay the rest towards the credit cards to reduce the debts.
Will wait for the car service next week and get all that out of the way, wait for the rest of the listings to finish at the weekend and then see what that leaves me with and then what difference it makes to the DFD and total amounts owed.
Just needed to remind myself what I'm doing this for - to not spend on ebay, but to sell and repay my own debts to get to the point where my money is my own and not the credit card companies.
Happily a NSD today making it number 4/15final unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550 -
Very happy that the piece of furniture listed on ebay now has a bid on it - yeah! Money freed up for credit card repayment and also space freed up too once it goes!
Had a mosey on there at some guide prices for the big exercise equipment I also want to go and found there were a lot on there at very low prices with no bids either - might hang on a while and see what the other ones sell for firstfinal unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550 -
Just worked out how much is left from the grocery budget for this month - £9 per week for 2.5 weeks.
Milk £1.74 per week
Fruit £3 (banana's, grapefuits, clementines and apples) per week
Veg £5 max for one week then more like £3 for other week (onions, brocoli, cauli, cabbage and carrots)
Yoghurts - might have to revert back to basics for 45p for 6
Cheap puds - tins of custard 13p x 1
Bare minimum shop for this week estimated to be around £10.32.
Hmm, let me see how close I get to this at the weekend - will need to have a will of iron the come in below this as the plan demandsfinal unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550
