Morning Sparkles! Hope you're feeling a bit more Sparkly today?
You really have been under the weather. Poor you.

Well done on all of the debt sorting and the ebaying. Making great progress!

My half term has started and so I finally have time to catch up on everyone's news and do some me things. Must get back to serious fabbing and exercise too - have let that slip lately, just been too busy.

Fingers crossed you're a teeny bit better today xxx

Can't say I'm feeling sparky today - feel some improvement but not too much but maybe the corner has been turned.

Dragged myself off to collect the £5 boots ordered last week before they got sent back. Ok for work for a fiver - not worth the £28 original price really, but only 'cos I got them for £5!

Also done some online christmas and birthday present shopping today and grabbed a grabbit for one, may as well take advantage of being at home for delivery and get most of it out of the way earlyish. Also managed to get free delivery and 5% off with a code so even happier about that!

With a little bit of present list shuffling think I'm almost there for ideas now coming together which is good with 2mths to go.

What else to report? Bit more out of grocery budget today with some more things off the list and another £9.36 spent on household, fruit, veg and dog biscuits stocked up on for a while longer now.

Have a lot of ebay items ending today - quite a few watchers but not many bids at the moment, lets see how that ends up over the next few hours.

Time to change the bedding now one lot I am attempting to dry is outside on this bright cold day and maybe, just maybe, I might just feel up to pushing the hoover around this afternoon!

Right then few more presents ordered this afternoon - will wait and see if the baking set turns up as is now oos however my order has been confirmed. Just ordered a calender, book collection and other book for presents from the book people with successful free del code used. Mum's present hamper now almost done! Just need a couple more things for my brother but plenty of time left to get those then its onto the next lot which I have a few ideas for and will be keeping an eye out for the usual bargains!

That's quite enough christmas shopping for one day, lets see how much they all cost

Baking set £11.40 - free delivery
    Calender £3.99
    Book set £4.99
Hairy Dieters £4.99 - free delivery for all these 3
    Total £25.37

For me - one baking set £11.40 and one book £3.99 (meat free monday). Total £15.39

    Total for all £40.76
Not too bad really considering the books were over £13 on ama*on and the baking sets were supposedly £40 each and at this price ordered work out at £4 each which are well worth that price.

Better have a no spend day tomorrow and quite a few next week I think - still, much better getting things now rather than stressing later on for me

£36 made on ebay from sales tonight going towards car service and MOT fund. - almost there now. 5 items sold and 6 didn't sell and have now been relisted for another week.

Best thing was the dress that sold which I haven't worn since 2000. Really pleased someone wanted it as there is a lot of wear left in it and someone should want it and I hope they like it!

4 more items finish tomorrow and 3 already have bids on. One thing is already at a surprisingly high price with another 19 people watching the kettle!

I tried the batch cook mince beef recipe from the GC today and made 16 portions from one pack of mince beef. Could have been a bit meatier as I think I overdid the red lentils and oats added however I'm not bothered at all as I like it! I had everything in for it - unused packets of dried beans, lentils and veg in the bottom of the fridge all went in along with basics tomatoes and stock cubes.

Had a portion of spag bol for tea with veg which was lovely

Made 8 portions of chilli, 6 portions of spag bol and a 2 portion cottage pie - all in the freezer now for plenty of easy meals over the next few weeks.

Thinking about trying a beef stew version next or a pork casserole and see how far these can be stretched out!

Also a good day for ebay sales today with one item going for much more than I imagined it would do.

The car service and MOT can now be paid for and have a little left over for cc repayments. I still have a lot to go on there for sale and next time will be when its the next free listing weekend

Overall a very pleasant day making me smile when some bids rolled in :D

Right then that's quite enough for today - 9 items all parceled up ready to go tomorrow en route to the drs'.

Can't say I feel that much better but I think the worst of the virus is over and I'm on route to getting back to normal at long last, not up to much during the day and looking forward to getting back to usual and some much missed exercise as its almost 4 weeks now since last did any and that's no good at all for me!

I have been to the Dr's and have a nasty viral infection - its true! I've gone viral! Anyway back to reality, I'm under orders - rest and rest and rest some more and don't do much at all. Ok, will obey the orders to rest and not leave myself open to a secondary infection which I don't want at all after the last few weeks.

Estimated at least one more week off and maybe 2. Def not ok though as after got back from the dr's and post office to post the ebay sales totally wiped out feeling dreadful again with burning chest once more.

won't be up to much at all for the rest of the week.

To take my mind off things did a bit more christmas shopping, despite saying I wasn't going to thought while I'm off may as well to be in for the deliveries for a change. Inspired by another grabbit - grabbed it and also ordered 2 pairs of slippers - exactly the same as in the shops but at £6 cheaper and a t-shirt for christmas pressies. Nearly done now I think. Also got 2 order despatched emails from the other grabbits so they're on the way now too

Today's spends 5 items for £34.50 delivered working out at £6.90 for 3 tops and 2 pairs of slippers.

Ebay update - one more to post, one to be collected and 4 more listed

    back tomorrow no doubt!

Not feeling too good today again, thought I'd better clean the bathroom as it was looking a little grotty after not cleaning it for 2 weeks and it was driving me a bit mad. I felt not too bad first thing this morning, took it steady and gave it a quick light clean and lo and behold within half an hour set of the infection again. Rest of the day spent on the sofa to recover. That'll teach me and I'd better not too do anything tomorrow then!

To pass some time on watched a dvd I hadn't watched before - steel magnolias. Enjoyed it and did well up a little towards the end! Will be watching another one later on - swing time, an old favourite dance film.

Did bag another no spend day today - number 13 - one over target for October.

Just going to have a mosey on the cheap recipe thread for a while then a bowl of soup for tea
