Finally got five minutes to sit down.... just seen Flutterby's pics; super, they are, thanks for sharing.

Mr LW is having one of his manic days - he came out with Lucy and me this morning and picked loads of blackberries (I can't get to then very easily from the scooter) and now he's been out and got a load of elderberries, too; though I'm not sure what he intends to do with those.

Lawn has also been cut, and I've done a little deadheading (well I felt obliged to show willing):D

Mr LW still has to do the weekly check-over of the car (tyres, oil, wash-bottle etc), and I have some paperwork to do, and Lucy will want another walk shortly.:o

  • Hi chums its boiling at the moment so i am hiding indoors (far too hot for me and my arm out there)Both DDs arrived this morning for coffee which was nice as I don't often see them together.BBQ at youngest DDs later as its far too hot for sunday dinner.I had an Ocado £20.00 voucher come through the post yesterday, has anyone tried them and is it worth my whiles using it as I have to spend a minimum of £80.00 to get £20.00 off.I doubt I could find £80.00s worth of food that I needed to buy in one go at the moment Any views on their service and quality on here ?
    Cheers chums

If I could afford it, I'd opt for Ocado above Tesco or Sainsburys anyday for online shopping. They're pricier but I think the food is much better quality. The downside is that the range of products is much smaller, from what I recall. You could always do a price comparison on mysupermarket.

  • I was thinking I could split it between my eldest DD and myself and we could save a tenner each if its worth having.I was wondering about the meat, chicken etc is the quality any good as I would rather have less meat but better quality than cheap stuff thats not tasty

Afternoon everyone - I went AWOL - sorry, had a bad week!!

I've spent the day washing and ironing and plan to spend the rest of the day . . . . . . washing and ironing lol. Got a bit behind with it all and now that we've run out of underwear I think I'd better get a shift on and sort it out [and sort myself out at the same time]

I also need to cut the grass before the weather changes - that will be a task for later on when it cools down a bit

    Have a lovely afternoon everyone

    Afternoon all,

Didn't manage to post yesterday but just had a quick look at you pics FB you look lovely x
So another busy wkend. Yesterday we visited dd and DGS who seems fine. My daughter tells me he mentioned it briefly the night before just to say that he hoped the naughty men didn't go to anyone else's house. When his mum said no they are in prison he replied not to send them to prison as he is sure they won't be naughty anymore!
So after a nice visit, where we met her new fella (seems very nice) it was on to a pub lunch, it was so hot strolling about in the sunshine.
Another lovely day today and we have been to a vintage market where our best friends had a stall. It was a lovely atmosphere and most people were dressed in vintage gear right through from the 40's to the. 80's.
Lunch has been a healthy salad and we are about to go out picking brambles combined with a walk up killer hill:( hope to burn off the wine I've consumed his wkend. I loved The Bletchley Circle as well so that's set on series record.
Looking forward to a peaceful week this week with dh at work and DS at 6th form.
Have a good Sunday all, and hi to the newbies j x

I managed to do all the washing-up and laundry, and am waiting for a Victoria sponge to cool so I can add MIL's Somerset jam (unidentified ingredients but presumably apples are in there somewhere). I used an foreign cheapo marge from the Turkish supermarket (£1.29 for 500g) so I'm curious as to how it will turn out - looks okay so far. I used my 8/8/8/4 recipe, forgetting that I now have larger sandwich tins, so next time it'll be 10/10/10/5.

Julie SS, Social Services, the problem is that we have 5 weeks until the training starts & need to get stuff done before that but can't start until we know if we've been accepted, heyho, they will decide when they are ready.
Washing & ironing all done, hubby worked from 9 'til 12, cut the grass, watched the GP & then had lunch around 5ish.
Everything is ready for next week, work clothes washed & ironed & a weeks worth of packups made & in the freezer.
    Have a good evening everyone.
    Hugs Hester
