Lou - they had some nice thin dressing gowns in Matalan the other day, cotton or satiny types, about £10-12.

Thanks. It's only up the road too. Wonder if our 10% off card is still in date....

  • Morning all

Sunny here today and I am still lounging in bed with the lappie. OH has just gone off to our friends' house to collect the car(ten minutes walk) as we had drinks in their garden last night. DS kindly collected squiffy parents at the end of the evening.

They have a firebowl outside so we sat round and burned wood from a large bush they had cut down from the front garden and seasoned. They are ex woodcraft folk from years back and know how to build a good fire.

So today? OH says rain coming from the west later eek! We need to cut the grass and I must crack on with a photobook I'm making as the money off offer ends Tuesday.

But for now second cup of tea in bed.......

    Have a good day all.

    Morning :hello:

I saw your pics Flutterby, they're fab :T

Bit worried that lazy days are becoming known as 'tru days' :rotfl: Still, it's nice to be recognised for something, even it's nothing :rotfl::rotfl:

I went through the freezers yesterday. Started off in a good mood and was a bit ragey (ragy? rage-y?) by the time I'd finished. Mr tru's shopping involves things like five (why that many?) boxes of veggie burger type things. Basically mashed potato with other veg mixed in. I'm trying to make room for home grown stuff. We grow lots of veg to freeze most of it for use over the winter, and he goes out and buys the same thing but ready-made. The point of the second freezer has been lost on him.

It's sunny here but very cold, I can't face a shower til it's a bit warmer so I've put the heating on for half an hour :D

Just wanted to say I really enjoy these daily threads - I like reading how others organise their lives - it's very motivating - and I'm sure I'll pick up some really good tips for an OS life :) The forum in general is too big for me to cope with unless I need to read/research something specific, so I reckon the OS section is going to be my 'home' :)

Morning all, sunny and warm here so off to put another load in the WM in a minute. Dog walked and fed and is now being annoyed by the evil kitten who thinks Jack's tail is a plaything for him. House is pretty tidy so just have to find something for dinner. Hugs to all in need and have a good day all.:)

  • Welcome Tiglath :) we are a friendly bunch!

Just back from a short jog, saw lots of blackberried on the bushes so will go back out later to pick them. WM has been on twice and 3rd load has now been scavenged and it on as I type!

Tiglath you are most welcome here
DH has broken his prescription sunglasses (he is a beggar for throwing them down anywhere and I think it happened at the family barbecue) To top that he was putting the clean sofa covers on and was so blooming rough he has torn two sides  So he really is in the kennel today. He has just taken DD to work so he is out of the way for a bit so I might be a bit calmer when he gets back...doubt it though. So he will be out in the garden shed ALL day or until I have calmed down.
Oh well I had better see if I can repair the cover or if I can ask DH's Aunt if she can do anything :( failing that he will just have to cough up £190 to replace it :(

Dinner today is Gammon, new potatoes and salad with pickles and I have made a plum sorbet from the plums that I had left for dessert :D

morning all. Sun is up and its a beautiful day.
Got a call from ds1 at half 2 this morn, there was me thinking he was phoning as he was home sick ........................oh no I got " hi mum , just letting you know I am back safely" In a rather drunken manner. Least he thought about his old mum worrying about him. Don't want to many half 2 am calls;);)

Slow roasted shoulder of lamb today with garlic and rosemary roasties, veggies and the must have yorkies.

Ds3 and 4 bedding on the line , towels currently sploshing round in the wm.

Feeling a little achy today, so taking it easy.

Woofer went over the fields with Betsy boo this morn with ds3 so he is now knackered and sleeping in the back garden.

Hope you all have lovely days and are keeping well:)

    Morning all,

Beautiful day here, think we are due rain tomorrow, so need to make the most of it, bedding is in wm, think I will strip dd's next and get that done too.

Going to hang the blind in lounge today, and undercoat door frame, it will then need a top coat and we have then done our bit, just waiting for the wallpaper man to fit us in.

Need to go and see my dad later on, will either go at lunch or tea time and help him with his meal. Also need to start listing on ebay again, not been going it for a while and I am missing the extra pennies.

I think I will do hot dogs, wedges and sweetcorn for dinner, will do a roast tomorrow, always too busy on a sunday.

Hester as essex girl said, three weeks is nothing to SS xx

Loved the Dr last night :T

    Have good days all xx

No, no, no, no......not lazy jut rebelling ;):D

Was up early walking the dog, was fantastic morning :D
So far today I have made twinks, BM is on, SC is on with a ham joint in it. Muffins next on cooking agenda.

Tea.....hmmm not sure. Haven't roasted chicken yet but can't use Remoska as BM is using the plug. Might be something with pasta if it gets too late. It is a bit hot for a roast ATM.

Just watched The Bletchley Circle in ITV player while I baked :T Am gripped, really enjoyed it :D

Hugs and spoons all round xxx
