DMC used to do a charting service. Stitch-a-photo I think it was called. But I'm sure there are cheaper ways to do it. Sorry that's not much help...

My charts have arrived from Historical Sampler Company and as myself and flowerofscotland mentioned, I think the thread requirements are a bit over the top but I think I would still get what it says just to be on the safe side. What's a spare skein of thread or two?? Got lots of stash in the post today - good job hubby is away tonight so I can hide them away (as long as I remember where I've put them).

Started on my 'Sweet Dreams' pictures for my children's rooms that were in a 'special issue' Cross Stitch Favourites earlier in the year so I can get a bit more done on these. I know my Christmas 'Noel' will never be done this year so that is going back in the pack for now. Feel like I need to post you all a piccie so you know what I am talkikng about!!!

    Have a good evening

Just seen this on the facebook page of WOCS - I'm sure it applies to some of you on here:

Can you help us with a feature piece in a forthcoming issue? We want to hear from a stitcher who works larger designs with a 10x10 grid and follows their chart stitching each 10x10 block at a time before moving onto the next.... Does this sound like you?! Drop me an email and I'll explain more: ruth@cross-stitching.com Thanks! Ruth x

Evening all. Some more great pictures and thanks for all the kind words about my blackwork owl. He's very cute.

Can no-one help me with my earlier post about photo charting websites/software? I thought you might be able to.

THose waiting for charts from me - they will be posted tomorrow.

    Regards

    Emma

Emma, the only person I have used to chart photos are Ali, the link is on the first page. Unsure what here costs are now but I have payed as little as £8 for a chart before, worth an email?

Ruth may I PM you for a code? Saw something in there yesterday I might be able to afford with a discount ;)

Sweetcarer - I love that butterfly fabric, it's perfect, did it come as a small kit?

It was free in a magazine (I bought it in Ebay - I know bad me) so not sure which one - I seen the idea to use butterfly aida on FB someone had done it like that.

Flat Eric - I use the loop method when I'm working in small area with no other stitches nearby, otherwise I pass the needle under stitches that are already there. The only time I stitch over the end of thread is on the first stitches on a new design, or if I can't loop, i.e when using 3 strands not 2.

    I finished the Blackwork cats

    photo-4-7.jpg

I always use the loop method to start - find it sometime futtery to do it the other way at times.

Loving the black work cats. My material came today for my purple work, so hope to start it soon.

Third time I've tried posting a reply. They're getting shorter & shorter as I'm getting tired trying to type while lying on my side.

Missed hospital app yesterday as my back got a lot worse. Rescheduled for tomorrow, so keep your fingers crossed that I'm more mobile by then.

Oh Ruth hope you feel easier soon - my back has been a bit sore more since the accident. Still no news on whats happening. The car is probably a write off - but need to find out more to see if I will keep it or accept their £350 value :( How can I get a new vehicle for that!

Mobile phones - topped up in July with £10 think I have about £7 left. Don't use mine often - just texts.

Well tonight I was late home as I went to collect my new threads - £75 for 500 give or take plus a DMC wooden box (the one where you put the picture on top - think someone on here posted it once upon a time. Also a canvasy type bag to hold the 5 plastic floss boxes. So works out about 15p each and the seem quite full the bobbins - maybe the full 8m. Still to check what is there - see DMC has a check list on their website so will print it out and check. Hubby said I looked so happy sitting there counting them. He took a photo - maybe I will post it later - but my face looks so red - he says cause I am happy. SO with that cost we are on beans and toast for the rest of the month!

Hope everyone else is ok - don't mean to gloat or brag.

    Keep well till next time

    sweetcarer ;)

Thank you for all your posts re phones. Very helpful. I have about another two weeks before my bundle renews so plenty of time to ponder....

Thank you also for your comments about the Mr T Credit Card. Still in two minds so will ponder that as well!

I don't mind Tuesdays but its the night I go to Slimming World so not much time before class and not much time after class for stitching :( roll on tomorrow eve! (me, sofa, remote, stitching :j)
