Is this any good clicky its a tutorial but the vine effect looks nice
ohhh that's nice. but perhaps a bit too thin.
have just found this one but gonna take out a few of the leaves and put some gold stitchy stars on it. scrap that can't get it to print so you can read it.loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:0 -
JCS1 - nice progress on Finishing Post.
caroline - you are making good progress too.
nmm - the fur looks so life like. It makes you want to stroke it.
The 'In Full Bloom' cards look really pretty and not too complicated.
chicky - well done with 'If'. Looking forward to seeing the vine/leafy border. I think either will look well (nmm or yours) depends on which one you can fit in. Good luck.
On the stitching front for me tonight - I had every intention of stitching a xmas card from WOXS (thought I would keep things simple till this week is over) and to be quite honest I just couldn't be [STRIKE]a****[/STRIKE] bothered to sort the stuff out. See what tomorrow brings. Not expecting too much really as I'm going to a funeral of someone who was in my class at school. She has been battling breast cancer for the past five years. Isn't it strange how horrible things seems to follow on after each other.
On a happy stitchy note, as todays WOXS was the last one of my 5 for £5, I have just redone the sub :j. I spied a little Michael Powell xmassy stitch in the next issue.
FE - hope you feel better tomorrow.
Take care everyone

Flat Eric - if it's any consolation my WOXS didn't arrive either. Gives me something to look forward to tomorrow.
Hope you feel a bit better in the morning x
nmm - lovely, it just looks so soft (if that makes sense?)
JCS1 - I love that picture, the colours of the jockeys really stand out
Caroline - afghan is coming along great - do you have a deadline for getting it done?subtle_minx wrote: »Also sorry if sounded insensitive Louise, I had no idea that the graveside cards related to your daughter.
I had to read back - you didn't, honest x
Chicky - I think the gold/green is a success :T
b_e_g - really sorry to hear that.Sadly it does always seem that bad things happen all at once. All any of us can do is hope next year turns out better x
I am hoping tomorrow doesn't end up as busy as today did. No stitching, ended up being busy constantly and got no 'me' time. I'm only even on the computer cos I had to scan and email some paperwork to the boss before midnight

Finally, after over 7 years have finished my big cats design. I left it for years cos of Uni, studying, life and emigrating to the other side of the world, lol. It was a hard piece to do as its big 22.6 x 9.6 and on black aida, lots of confetti stitching too, but its such an achievement actually finishing it. I just need to find a good framer to frame it now. Will try and post a pic.0

:T Well done leemina on completing your ufo. I bet you are so delighted. Looking forward to seeing your pic - I think you might have to have made so many posts before you will be able to post pics. You will just have to pop in each day (more often if you can) so that we wont have to wait too long to see it.
Louise - you certainly have had your fair share of bad stuff happening all at once and you have managed to stay strong. Hope Mum is continuing to make good progress. Definitely some stitchy time for you today I think
Well it looks dark and miserable out there today - is that it now - we've had all the sunshine we're going to get.
Take care everyone,

Morning folks...just a quick one to ask where is the best place to buy waste canvas?
I want to try some of the snowflake designs that came in the booklet with Cross Stitcher this month, but never used waste/soluble canvas before.....so also any tips gratefully received!
Thanks in advance!!0 -

JCS. Nice progress on Finishing Post, it's coming along nicely.
Both Caroline and nmm. Nice progress by you both.
Chicky. 'If' looks great. Agree the gold and green is much better than red and green.
No stitching done here yesterday. Hubby was away overnight on business so I visited Mum and Dad for the day. By the time I got home, showered, done pc stuff and had some tea I just didn't feel like it.:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:0
