Hmmm just been talking to my neighbour. I call her my neighbour but its more a case of she used to be my neighbour as she actually lives 300 miles away!

Anyhow - she mentioned how nice it would be if I visited so I've just been looking at prices for train tickets (£120 return ) and coach journey - average 10 hour journey both ways  Hmmm back to the drawing board..... My neighbour will be 81 on Saturday! and I have known her for 23 years! time does fly. Anyhow any ideas for presents other than the boring cheque that I usually send?

I've left it too late to stitch a card :(

Hmmm miffed World of Cross Stitch wasn't waiting for me and just feel (I don't know why) in a bad mood this evening. Work was tedious. Cat has been unwell while I was at work so a trip to the vets is in order tomorrow to collect a worming tablet. Grrr.

Not sure what I fancy doing this evening. Don't feel in the mood for stitching.

    Evening,

I've not been posting much lately (I've started some new medication that makes me want to sleep all the time) but I have been lurking.

Attached is an update of Finishing Post, I didn't realise quite how much green there was in it! Anyway, better go do the washing up and then I can settle down with the sewing :p

Eek - Just a warning peeps. appears there is someone posting multiple spam on the House buying board. not sure if they have been posting on other forums or why they are doing it but I'm too scared even to open the post and click the :spam: button. Me wonders if its a computer doing it as there are lots of them :(
  • Woo Hoo - World of Cross Stitching has just dropped through letter box. Has free gift of Margaret Sherry Calendar as free gift. Lots of christmassy stuff in it and some Halloween too. No time to look any further as DH and DS are sending me the 'vibes' as we are supposed to be going out now.

FOS - love the little chick.

Will have to go as I am getting the 'look' (you know the one).

    Catch up with you later

P.S Delivered Pooh Bear last night and they were delighted with it.

Glad Pooh went down well b_e_g :)

Sorry to hear you're feeling low flat eric, hope things look up soon.

If time is tight you could always order your friend something online and have it sent directly to her, e.g Flowers & chocs or books from Amazon etc

And this design is stunning and look like you could stitch it in time.

    HTH :)

PS just saw your warning, they were doing the same this morning, I reported about 20 but then I had to do some work! Wonder why it's always the house buying board though :rotfl:

Please, that is exactly what I need. I've resorted to designing my own tiny ones. but still have others bits for slightly bigger ones.

Subtle Minx - I also suffer with ME/CFS & Fibromyalgia. Have you tried the Vegepa capsules - they're supposed to help with energy levels and keep you in remission. I've just started them so i'm hoping like mad that they work!!!

Ooh, I haven't heard of them, so will do some research, sound really good. Been helping my friend move for last cpl days and at mo her and the boys are having baths as hot water not connected till tomoz. My Oh and her hubbie are over moving big bits of furniture as all was piled in front room. They didn't stop moving stuff till 2am this morn, I had to give up and was asleep by 8pm. So another late one for me. :(

Love the updates and mag reviews. Also glad WTP was well received. Also sorry if sounded insensitive Louise, I had no idea that the graveside cards related to your daughter.

Flat eric, did you check megabus and trainline for cheap fares? Maybe if you plan a trip for the future it'll be cheaper. For the card, i have these designs which were quick to do or my Mackintosh rose was really quick too.

  • i'll read back in a bit............ promise.

If: text completed - "if" in red and green
    7973834424_849b9c9392_n.jpg

much better - "if" in gold and green

    and a close up:

Now I reallly want a vine design - possibly with red flowers, to frame just the left hand (as you look at it) edge. There's not really enough space top and bottom to border all the way round.

needs to really be a max of 20 stitches wide. (one small motif that I can repeat will be ok)

    Any suggestions??
loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:
