Stop it! Lol! I've been browsing that website all weekend. So tempted by some of the things on there, but I really don't *need* new clothes or bags.

found another occasion i need to stitch something for, my DH cousin is celebrating her 50th wedding anni this year, she lives in the states with her american husband so is more american than brit now. she has mentioned to me she has an 'English' room she keeps her family stuff and things 'from this side of the pond' in.
i sent her a cross stitch bookmark the other year which she loved so im thinking of trying to do something that incorporates both union jack and stars and stripes along with their names and anni details.
im sure ive seen a heart shape done in half of each flag but cant think where. has anyone on here done something like that and posted a photo?

Kell at Kincavel Krosses does hearts in the flags -

    link for american - http://kincavelkrosses.wordpress.com/2013/01/30/patriotic-hearts-usa/

    link for england

    link for britain

    BTW these are all free

Or you could adapt something - I adapted a American Sampler for my out laws (in laws) they are from America

    Hope this helps

Back working on my hearts for Sandy Hook - have done purple - so now on to blue.

natzini - hope your wrists ease soon and you can get back to your stitching. DH and S-i-L have to wear wrists splints some times but I dont know how easy it would be to stitch with them on. :(. Sorry to show my ignorance but what is Instagram - is it a bit like Photobucket and Flickr??

Hello! Thansk for that. I do wear splints sometimes, mainly at night so I don't bend my wrists back whilst I sleep.

Instagram is a social photo sharing application - a bit like if Twitter and Flickr had a baby but added filters :)

I have done loads of stitching over the bank holiday weekend but mostly tapestry. Im really enjoying it. Ive got my eye on a lovely Christmas long stitch on ebay.

Ive got a bag to make today but I would like to stitch a bit on my stained glass windows.

I seem to have a lot of ongoing projects at the moment
I'm trying so hard to be thrifty, but it doesn't come naturally. You lot are an inspiration!
