I always go back to my trusty hoops I have 4 of diffent sizes

Mine is the same size then. I just put the hoop over the square I am working on although at the minute I am only two rows down so don't have millions of fabric in my way. Might be a problem when I am working on the lower section, but hair scrunchies sound good...lol;)I HAVE NOTHING TO SAY;)0

Hi everyone,
I've been AWOL for a little while but I have been keeping up to date with everyone's posts. There are some lovely finishes on the go, really impressive.
I've not done much stitching for a couple of weeks, don't know why, just didn't feel like it I suppose. But I've started a wedding sampler for my friend, nothing too complicatd, just a modern heart design all in purple. She's quite minimalist so I think she'll like it. I got the design off of Pinterest (just one that a member had designed that anyone can use). It's stitching up really nicely and shouldn't take too long so I'll post a pic when I'm finished.
Hope you're all keeping well and warm. x0 -

loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:0 -

spooky that you mention Pinterest, I've just logged on especially to say I've found found stacks of lovely free xs patterns on there.
My trouble is once I've found something I get obsessed - been spending hours browsing through other people's cross stitch boards and pinning dozens of pics to my own ! I've found and downloaded more charts than I will ever be able to complete if I live to be 100 (57 now, so I've got 43 years better get going !).

I found this too and then read somewhere to put that iron on interface on the section you are working on. I iron it onto a square at a time and it really helps. Stops the fabric stretching as well. Only downside is I tend to bring my needle back up by sort of draggin it up the back until I find the correct hole and with the interfacing you can't do that...If that makes sense....lol;)I HAVE NOTHING TO SAY;)0 -
ERIC' MUM- I know what you mean, it's so addictive once you start looking! I've found some great designs on blogs that aren't in English and they've got a "different" kind of look to some of the British ones that I really like.
I have to stop looking, my computers full of designs I'll never have time to stitch!

When I'm stitching my Shepherd's Bush stockings on 18 count fabric I use a size 22 needle which helps. You might even need a size 20?
What design are you stitching on your afghan?0 -

Mine too - but at least they take up less space than the paper charts and magazines I have collected over the years
I love Pinterest - it's such a great way to "save" pictures of things I like and would ideally like to stitch. I actually think it has stopped me buying a few things as once it's pinned on one of my boards I feel like I own it :rotfl:0 -
Hi ladies.
Nmm. Nice update, it's coming along nicely.
Soulie. Nice card and what a fab idea using the magnets!
Crafty. Very nice square for SH.
Maria. Nice finish.
Chicky. I have a few roller frames and they can be whatever size you want them to be as you can mix & match the side bars with the top/bottom bars. If holding by hand though you wouldn't want to go too big because then you go from comfortable to hold to awkward and bulky.
Julie. Look forward to seeing the wedding sampler.
Erics Mum. You aren't alone in your 'obsession'When browsing sites that have free charts I only download the ones I like but I download soooo many 'just because I can'. I know my lifetime isn't going to be long enough to even stitch the kits I have in my stash cupboard let alone stitch all the digital charts I have on my pc.
As for me.
Thought I had finished the Cat & Kittens yesterday. I left off the whiskers because I quite liked the look of them without but everytime I looked at it last night I kept thinking 'they need whiskers' Asked hubby what he thought and he agreed, they need whiskers. Should get them done today.:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:0
