In actually going to pick up a neddle tonight, for the first time in ages! A friend has asked new to sew his and hers on to two of those blankets with sleeves

Ruth love that you are making hubby a card from the cat its so sweet

Only because I can't afford to buy one! :rotfl:
I ended up with a Christmas hanger to frame it & I stuck it to the front of the card. That sounds strange...I'll post a photo later so you can see what I mean.

Thanks for the quick reply. I've checked Blossom's paws (she barely opened her eyes to see what I was doing!) and there's no pink. She's all very dark grey/brown(hard to tell exactly in this light), so have stitched a little paw print in 3799. Using 3 strands was a good idea! Now to find the black thread and do the back stitch...

My cat only tends to sit on my lap when my OH is out :( the cat can be a right grumpy what not which I don't really understand as he is much loved. anyhow he doesn't mind the odd paw massage when he sits on my lap. i massage each claw for him :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Here it is. The scrap of aida I used was too small to work in any of the card blanks I had, so the best thing I had in my box was a little gold tree hanger. I framed it in that, then stuck it onto a card I already had as a 'collar'. Strange, but it sorta works...:rotfl:

She wasn't on my lap today. She was in the best place-on her radiator bed! She sometimes comes and sits on my legs when I'm stitching (with legs up on the sofa) but hardly ever comes up when we're both sat on the sofa. She's affectionate in her own way, when she feels like it. Not really what you'd call a lap cat, though.
Can't say I've ever given her a paw massage, but she likes having her front legs stroked when she's sprawled out. :D

Oh, and I don't think it's bad form at all to stitch your own wedding sampler. But how will you find the time???

If you feel that bad - I could do it for you - let me know the pattern or will I surprise you lol. Just an idea. I did mine for hubby for our second wedding anniversery as it is cotton.

I made one for hubby the first chirstmas we had Sam - lost the pattern now as I thought I could of used it for the exchange card.

Trying to find camera to take photo ready for the big reveal.

Had my half year apraisal the day and the woman made me feel 1 inch small. I am about 80% ok with my work. She wants to shadow me Monday to see what I do, she only sees what I do from running reports on computer and see how I perform. Don't know why she is based else where has to do my report. WHy not let one of the managers I work do it. Then she went on about my husband not working saying don't know how you can stick with him - why do I not send him back to his mother in America and get him to work there. Made me feel like I have taken in a bum and he is living off me. Been feeling sick ever since.

Think I will do some purple work and forget her and try not to throw up my dinner.

Hope everyone else is ok - sorry for moan.

    sweetcarer ;)

As for that woman, sweetcarer... I don't think she should get away with saying that. It's getting too personal, which has nothing to do with her. Make a complaint & then she'll realise how much she's upset you!
