K800i - any good?

I'm considering one of these phones. The new W880i has recently come out and that looks quite good, but it doesn't seem as good as the K800i e.g. camera not as good, no infra red.

I guess it depend on what you want the phone for... but as a generalisation, anyone got any views about this phone? (what's the standby like?)

brilliant, i chat quite a bit on my phone and i charge it once every 3 days ish, would definatly recomend its so nice and easy, features are great, all the SE's are basically the same but k800i has some extra cool stuff that most people love e.g. facewarp

My son thinks his is great - PAYG, especially as he got it for £29.99 with a code which was the only reason he ordered that one. (Code no longer works BTW)

Think you might be right - I'm just checking the K810i on the SE website now.

I have a W800i now, previously a K750i. You are right, they are quite similar in the way they work. I know a website for good games and themes etc for free for these phones. Hopefully will work on a K800i.

  • I'm looking for a k800i as well, would prefer one without the external branding. All feedback I've found is very positive. Here's a review.

I got one at the end of December with a renewed tariff/contract on O2, but the screen broke at the start of March, despite good treatment. Apart from the horrible durability, I liked it a lot.

Full story here if you are interested.

i dont think durability is a problem, ive dropped mine a lot, it has dents at the stop and on the camera cover, but everything is still solid, camera cover isnt loose at all and the phone works perfectly

I love mine, it's the best phone I've ever had. The camera quality is the best I've seen (actually better than my digital camera!) and it's taken quite a battering and is still in perfect working order! Also, they've sorted out the glitch in earlier joystick phones where dust or grime would stop it working - no problem on the K800i :D
