Tyson must be a clever boy !
Sssh don't say that too loudly, he will get a big head!
He is too clever for his own good. Everyone says that you can actually see him thinking and plotting his next episode of mischief.
It's exhausting!
I use nappy bags too as they are cheaper.
Also, and this may sound weird, get him used to the hoover. I find hoovering Tyson once a day cuts down on the amount of fur flying round the house, especially in moult season. Only problem is he loves being hoovered and so each time I get it out he demands to be done and will stand barking at the hoover until I do it!0 -

A laser pointer.
Not always a good idea, especially with a puppy. Some dogs can tolerate it fine and it's just another game, but some dogs can get quite obsessive about lights/shadows to the point they really struggle to settle in every day life. Creating a drive for something you cannot control, e.g. light, can be a hard thing to undo - I say stick to toys you can physically pick up and put away.0 -
Do not go for a size bigger - maybe look on Ebay for a second hand Kong and sell it on when it's too small (or donate to a dog rescue), I know of someone who had a Kong slightly too big and the dog got his whole bottom jaw stuck in it, it's important to pick the right size for safety (especially if the puppy is left unattended with it, even for short periods). If you don't to splurge out on actual Kongs, check out the Busy Buddy squirrels - slightly cheaper version, the large is very similar in size to the XL Kongs I use for my two, so the small one might be suitable for a puppy.
With all due respect one dog to me wouldn't put me off. I'd rather just buy the one and take the risk and supervise him.0 -
For the sake of a fiver or so, I wouldn't risk it - the dog was apparently quite distressed by it. Supervising will help reduce the problem but Kongs are very handy tools for teaching dogs to be left home alone so requiring supervision would kind of defeat the point for me personally! Googling has shown other incidents with the same thing, owner saying that the size was too big or others advising the owner goes down a size.
VetUK were cheap for Kongs when I got some spares
