Current Bun is two weeks behind and also scaremongering a bit

    5t.
What if there was no such thing as a rhetorical question?
  • The article is just scaremongering to promote their anti EU stance.

Its not as bad as it sounds, most of it is already covered in our current MOT. Even if this legislation goes through modifications will still be allowed its just the crap unsafe modifications that will fall foul of the legislation.

I lived in Spain for three years and all cars had to be standard for their ITV(MOT) no after market mods were allowed, ever tyres had to be same as factory fitted. Only option was to remove mods for ITV and refit afterwards.
My pals car failed ITV for stick on sun visor!!!!

Yes, just another bit of anti-EU rubbish where the press have chosen to misinterpret something.
Remember when they told us all bananas would have to be perfectly straight?
Remember when they said that we couldn't call ice cream "ice cream"?
Remember when they said we couldn't buy beer in pints?
    Don't worry.
    Can I help?

No I didn't. I've never voted so stop making accusations.

Probably because you're 12 years old judging by some of your posts.

Here's a very sensible post made in response on The Sun website (admittedly by someone with the name dortmundtim):

Don't quite think we're getting told the whole story here. They allready have a similar system in Germany which is not in place to ruin the fun of motoring ' the Germans are as car crazy as the rest of us" but to improve safety. Modifications are allowed but have to be checked from their equivalent of a mot station and if deemed safe the modification will entered into the log book. When you think that for example just changing the size of tyre&wheel on car effects the speedo accuracey it's maybe not a bad idea. Also the idea that non original parts like brake pads and discs for example would be banned is pure scaremoungering nonsense, this industry is massive in Europe and it won't be affected.
  • Haha, slightly off topic but . .
Can fines keep residents of Brussels from cursing in public?
On Tuesday, the Belgian city approved a law making it illegal to swear in public. “Any form of insult is from now on punishable, whether it be racist, homophobic or otherwise, said Mayor Freddy Thielemans through a spokesman Thursday

    . . . or otherwise? !!!!!!?

You've got to love our euro civil servants
  • Mixed feelings. I don't like sharing the roads with chavs who've improperly lowered their Corsas and P40'd on pieces of bodywork nonsense; but I've done a lot of dabbling with non-standard diesel injector pumps among other things in the past. I did my research and knew what I was doing, but ultimately under the trust of every other stranger on the road. I suppose the diesel emissions test is what made my work officially acceptable and maybe that doesn't need to change.
