Thank you gabbyevs for your reply. I am not sure what these extra charges are for and will go through my bills to see.

At 5 months in to your contract you have no possibility whatsoever of voiding on the grounds of poor reception, so don't bother trying. The only legal grounds for cancelling are death or bankruptcy. Sorry to be blunt, but this question is asked several times each week and the answer does not change.
All you can do is sell the handset and use a cheap old one to subsidise your ongoing line rental costs.
And stop going over your monthly limits. If you can't, you'd be better off upgrading your tariff, because over-usage is always charged at a higher rate.
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)

Thanks macman......seems I just posted before you did :D...no worries and yes I can imagine there must be so many similar people like me....and understand that it is not as cut and dry and we may think.

I never go over my minutes....in fact I am way under them....and know that I will not be able to down grade either...as for death and bankruptcy....well that would end a lot of my troubles I can tell you...but can't see that happening anytime soon...:rotfl:
  • I don't understand why people delete what they've written in threads like this.

It could help someone in a similar situation, if people have gone to the time and effort to reply it'd be courteous to leave the questions for others to see.

Can anyone find a copy on Google Cache?
  • ''If you feel you have been miss-sold your mobile contract or been given misleading information or promises regarding mobile network coverage then you may be able to complain to one of the two telecoms dispute resolution schemes.
Every mobile operator in the UK must belong to either Cisas or the Communication Ombudsman Service and they have the power to award compensation to you the consumer of up to £5,000 if your complaint is up held.
However, before you take your complaint to either service you will need to have complained directly to your network provider and been through their in house complaints procedure''

    Hi All......

I am in need of some advice and help please regarding my contract with T Mobile. I have been with them nearly 2 years.

In May this year I re newed my contract as the one before was an 18 month one...so a month before I upgraded to a new phone and contract to 24 months. At that time I was going through a lot of financial debt problems which are still on going....and I did not think about the implications that I could suffer by agreeing to such a long contract.

Now I am not looking for any loopholes to get out of this 24 months contract which ends sometime in 2014 but I really and honestly am finding it very difficult to manage.

I know that in a couple of months I will find it extremely difficult to manage payments....and I feel so so stupid for agreeing to what I did......but my hasty decision has left me repenting in leisure so much.

I have been googling the net to try and see what options I have and cannot find T Mobiles terms and conditions as they did not send me them....but I am not 100% sure if they did or not to be honest.

I cannot afford my credit file to have any black marks on there either because I am hoping to re mortgage or move home after 6 months...and if I stop paying or have to pay through a DCA that will effect my credit file.

So really I am in a pickle over what to do. If I contact T Mobile and and explain my hardship I know they will not allow me to down grade or end my contract early.

Yes I should have thought about this before but I didn't and really would like some help from people. I check my statements on line each month and they seem to add so many charges that I was not aware of and that is making the matter worse...as I am on a £30 a month contract but by the time they have added on x y and z it totals up to nearly £45'ish.

Is there anything I can do or am I stuck with this contract until 2014?

Thank you to all in advance.
