My dad occasionally has this problem with his phone, but he accidentally selects an option to 'screen' a message (mix of old age and big thumbs! :rotfl:) and it puts it in a completely different folder on the phone. Then all messages from this sender are screened too. His is a basic nokia phone right enough...Wealth is what you're left with when all your money runs out0

In the thread I quoted above the problem appeared to be on the O2 (recipient) side.
I have read that thread again and I am still no wiser who's fault it is.
O2 appear to have problems porting numbers but most people think it's Vodafone's problem. Besides that the OP on this thread is on Orange and the network sender was Vodafone.0 -
Ok, solution to my probelm has been found: Orange were very helpful and to my suprise didn't try and blame vodaphone.
It transpired my phone has somehow randomly developed a (well hidden) block on my friends phone number, out of no where.
Took them some time to find it but they were able to remove it andproblem for us now solved.
Thanks for everyones responses.I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once0 -

Very interesting. My OH solved her problem by putting her SIM in another mobile phone.0
