Help me choose a smartphone
My contract is running out in a month and I need some help choosing a smartphone. At present I have a HTC Desire S that has been very reliable but its on its last legs. Plus I want something a little more up to date. I want an Android phone and I think I've ruled out the Samsung SIII because its too pricey and I dont want a 24 month contract. I'm looking to spend around £25 per month. I want a bigger screen anything up to Samsung Galaxy SIII size as long as the phone is slim.
I dont mind HTC or Samsung models and ideally looking for 12-18 months contract length.
I don't have a a clue which handsets I should be considering so any advice is appreciated.

Have you considered the SII or the HTC One v. Not sure how much they would be on contract for 18 months. But we've just got quite good deals on both these phones. Not sure if we like any of them yet though as we've not had a proper play with them yet4 Stones and 0 pounds or 25.4kg lighter :j0

Mobiles.co.uk will give you a Galaxy S II on 18 months for around £26 per month with no upfront cost for the handset... Be prepared to go down the redwmtion route to achieve a price like this though. 12 months is unrealistic these days if you want a phone better than the Desire S without an upfront charge.0

Have a look at the HTC One S.
£26 per month (£23.50 if you claim the cashback), 100 minutes, unlimited texts and 500MB data on an Orange 18 month contract or £36 per month (£27 if you claim the cashback) on a Vodafone 12 month contract with no upfront cost for the phone and 300 minutes, unlimited texts and 500MB data.0 -
Sometimes if you're staying with same company they will offer you a better deal. I'm getting the One V for £20 inc. Ins.
The fella's getting the SII for £23/month.
Both carrying 600 mins, unlimited texts,
his 500mb,
Mine 2gb, unlimited landline numbers, unlimited virgin to virgin.
So it might be worthwhile calling them and seeing what offers are available to you. But they are 2 year contracts. However, I didn't mind as the insurance is included in mine.4 Stones and 0 pounds or 25.4kg lighter :j0 -
Don't go for Samsung I hope you know about Samsung vs. Apple issue, so Samsung will be no more in the market, better way go for Apple Android which will give you all the features with slim look and big screen as well.0

What do you think they are going to do? Make Samsung exchange all the people's handsets and give them some other model instead? Remember Samsung are appealing this decision.
What's an Apple Android? The only way I know of to put android on an Iphone is quite... difficult. Are you saying they are planning on bringing out an Iphone with Andriod OS??4 Stones and 0 pounds or 25.4kg lighter :j0 -
