Used to live next door to a nutter.

Played music, very loudly, all times of the day and night, and he only had two CD's.

I tried to kick his door in one night just to get some peace.

One day he left his front door open. A couple of local thieves were outside. They were advised of his new ''open door'' policy, and told to make sure they helped themselves to the cd player.

Of course when they cops came to investigate a ''break in next door'', I could not lie, I knew nothing about it...

First peaceful nights sleep of many that was :D

    Brilliant. Love it. :D
  • Exactly! The other day my hubby came home early and i opened the door, the boys belted out shouting DADDY!!!!!!!! They were so happy. But mr and mrs misery stood staring at us like we had made them so angry or something. And only went inside when we did.

At the weekend it seems mrs misery cant wait to go on a jaunt in her car without her family.

I get the impression, from what I have seen, that they are unhappy.

Don't resort to their tactics. Nod your head to them and smile sweetly. Nothing more required.

It is none of their business whether you shut your curtains/blinds. Expect they are miffed they can't spy on you.

Sounds like they are jealous of your happy home life.

Personally I would put my smug nose in the air the next time you pass their garden;)

Btw, I should say that I am not a violent guy, never have been, but this guy broke my temper. He was twice my size, but I was beyond caring.

I tried going down the council route, a complete and utter waste of time. I knew more about dealing with anti social behaviour than those idiots did.

It got to the stage that every time something happened, no matter how trivial or what time of the day or night it was, if it broke his tenancy agreement, I would e mail the Chief executive of Homes for (insert w::::nky london council name).

He obviously got fed up getting my mails, because it was very soon delegated to the people in charge of the area housing. Mind you, e mails copied into my local Councillor and MP also helped.

I moved out when I sold my place, he was moved out shortly afterwards :D
    Life is now good :)
  • Aww dunree, he sound like an idiot! I can sympathise with a lost temper there!

I just prepped dinner and had a looooooooong cup of tea. In the kitchen. With the blinds closed. I feel so relaxed now and its reassuring to know I am not going nuts!

    Ahhhh! :)

    :) i like this.

My boys get so excited when my hubby comes home and they're always laughing. Their kids seem to be quite badly behaved, running off etc. He seems to spend half his time shouting and the kids crying.

I just wish they would smile at them sometimes instead of being miseries. Poor kids.

Do i really have to talk to them? Tbh i would love nothing more than to just go inside and close my door on everyone, not just them. i do an intense job and barely see my boys. so why i have to worry about them is beyond me. They seem to thrive on drama and the more i ignore them the worse they get.

Oh and they even take issue when i come in and close my blinds or curtains right away. I mean seriously? I just want some privacy from the world! It has NOTHING to do with me disliking them at all.

Tell me im not being unresonable here? Tell me im not the only one with dramatic neighbours. **headdesk**

What are they some kind of stalkers?

Why do they expect you to talk to them before you get in? Thats just weird.

If one of my neighbours was in their front garden mowing the lawn/gardening or something (not really sure why else youd be hanging about in your front garden?) Id smile/say Hi, and that would be it. We dont need to have a full blown conversation unless we actually wanted to.

I have carp neighbours too and they have 7 or 8 kids (never stand still long enuf to count:) )
and all the kids are vile to each other and rude and violent and sweary. And loud
when I got my new windows in guess who was having a good look through. made a point of saying very loudly ' Glad I got triple glazing I wont hear the little bar stewards now.
we have had rows about MY DRIVE and his use of it,
Its now turned down to his kids throwing stuff in the garden every day. although there was a corking row when he called me a fat biatch and then TOLD me he was gonna buy my house.
oh how I laughed my little socks off when I told him I own it and aint selling for less than 350k
he had a hissy fit telling me its not worth that much (which is true) but I just had to point out that I would have to buy another semi and in a much nicer area if he wanted to get rid of me.
next time we had a row and he told me he wanted my house the price went up to 375k and the time after 400k
he just does not get that I don't want to sell and if it comes to it I will have a better house in a better area at his expense.
    63 mortgage payments to go.

    Zero wins 2016 😥
  • I live in a detached house but our neighbours surround us (who are also in detached), although we all have really high hedges!! The neighbours behind us though, they play tennis at the weekends. They have been known to just come round into our garden to collect their balls. They wouldnt even ask if its ok, just let themselves through our side gate and we would see them out the window rooting around in the hedge. Soon stopped when they realised we had 3 dogs who would bark at them. Unbelievable though!
