My friends have an Ecofan on their narrow-boat, and they say it's great as it shifts some of the nice hot air from the fire down the boat keeping it nice and warm inside.

Expensive for what they are, but if the only source of heat is a fireplace it works a treat.

Now have Ecofan bought from a local stockist as Amazon.com prices have gone up and they did me a good deal as we bought our stove from them. Our stove is sat in the old fireplace so set back. Certainly warmed up the rest of the room aka cold extension part and also distribuited the heat more into the kitchen which then spread out further. Thumbs up from us.
