thanks being a seller l'm not used to being on this side of an inr whenever its happend to me l just ask them to wait a couple of days and then refund its just not worth the hastle, to me its just a hazard of selling on ebay may aswell accept it and get on with it not drag it out like he's doing, by the way this is his latest rant

that game was my little boys game who spent his pocket money on this game paying over 30 pounds and now sold it to you and we done everything right with post prove and postmaster prove so its now down to royal man . i can give you all the info i have and you can take it up with them last time your here from me in less you want post info!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Ignore all further correspondence until:

    a) you receive the item or
    b) you receive a refund. Which you will get, whether voluntarily or involuntarily if he can't prove delivery.

N.B. if the postie knocks on the door asking you to sign for a Recorded Delivery flat envelope do not sign - it'll be empty as he'll be trying to scam you into getting proof of delivery.

Demystified - Be careful when you post warnings about scams. I thought about posting that idea earlier but thought against it because I didn't want to give any lurkers any ideas.

I know it's probably obvious to some but unfortunately most people don't get to see items before they are signed for.

so if he dosent refund me and ebay close the case in october will they refund me or will l lose the money,

You don't have to wait until the 22nd of October, that will be when the case times out probably.

After 8 days, escalate the case to a claim. ebay will review and make a decision (usually a couple of days later).

I thought about that too and I thought thats what you were avoiding talking about, but as I heard about someone elsewhere getting scammed in exactly this way not so long ago and for rather a lot of money I thought the more people that know how not to get scammed the better - I figure most scammers will be clued up already - just my opinion.

I also figured that the board guides/mods would remove it if they objected to it.

True. Thing is, there are a lot of people who might be given ideas by what people post. Someone perhaps fed up of INR claims might pick up that idea to try and get round having to refund, taking the idea from what is posted on the forum.

I agree about the mods etc. but I think they only respond to reports. It's better to be more cautious when putting out ideas into the public domain.

l opened the case on the 7th sept, ive now noticed at the side of it its telling me to take action, what will happen when l click on this as l dont want to accidently close the case
  • you won't close the case accidently. click it and you will be asked if item has been received...click no and follow any other instructions...ebay will close the case and award in your favour. if they don't close it straight away then it's because they are going to investigate and will more than likely award you a refund which will come straight from sellers paypal

Customer Support has opened a case for you.The seller has until 16 Sep, 2012 to respond.
so does that mean if he dosent respond l will automatically get a refund
