  • I've slashed £300 off the overdraft this month: it's down to £500 now, and I have £142 sitting in cash ready to deposit so that's another £119 after tax savings, bringing the total to £380.

The bit I haven't been arsed to include in my signature is my Tesco credit card... I use it for all spends and pay it off it full every month (except last month I couldn't pay it off as summer income was so low) so I'm down on that by £1,008. I'll pay what I can off this month though, and the rest next.

It's my daughter's birthday at the end of September so it's not going to be. Cheap month, but grocery budget is going well, and I'm sticking to the budget elsewhere too, which is great!

I had to spend £8.50 in pets at home today on a new feeder for one of the gerbils and 2 ladders for my elderly hamster as she can't reach the platform anymore awww. Especially when she's just woken up and is groggy. Bless!

  • No spendy spendy and more earny earny today :) I've got lunch at a friend's house, so that'll be a nice break from being in the house. I've just got admin, practice, and some writing to do this morning, then teaching non-stop from 3.30pm till 7pm :)

  • !!!!. Refund requested from eBay buyer as I got the size wrong on a pair of boots. So that's 2 lots of bloody postage wasted then. !!!!!!.

  • Teaching is going well though; am making money regularly now. Still waiting on a few bulk payments but they're gradually coming in, and cash payments are trickling in daily.

  • Overdraft is slowly coming down (£300 now) and my tax fund is now a sort of healthy £220. Getting there!

I owe tesco credit card an unpaid £908 from last month (it's not really unpaid, it's just I always pay off in full and I couldn't last month and that was the balance so it's unpaid in my head but not on my credit file)

Every time my overdraft goes down a little bit I pay a little more onto the credit card so I'm paying both off concurrently

  • Had a MAHOOSIVE whinge about poor eBay chat service (insisted on chatting to supervisor) and got a £5 voucher for my troubles :) Yay!

  • Well I'm finally earning properly again; first day back at job #2 yesterday (I'm knackered today!). I won't get paid for that until the end of Octover, but at least it's all starting to filter through again now.
It's daubhter's birthday this Wednesday, so this month isn't terribly cheap, but I've it October and November with nothing big and then Christmas. (Then nothing before the following summer!)

I'll update my signature later as things have changed quite a bit; my tesco credit card has taken a hit as my current account is so low and I can't pay it off this month. Tax fund is rising nicely. ISA has been raided. The usual post summer juggling.....

By New Years Eve we are usually so partied out from family birthdays in the 12 weeks leading up to Christmas and the Big finale of Christmas week, we just decline all offers of getting together and flake out in front of the T V :D
