  • I was super productive yesterday; wrote over 1000 words, taught a little bit, replied to a load of emails including one offering a possible permanent student, and had my first NSD :)

More of the same today: I'm aiming for:

*teaching as scheduled to bring in £64 plus extra from one student who pays in blocks
    *practise odds and sods
    *write 500 words at least

Morning.... Must admit we love Ocado. We are on their subscription delivery about £9.00 a month but we can have as many deliveries as we want minimum £40 spend. Except Christmas week when we have to pay the delivery.

    .

Hi BubblesMumI just got free delivery again and didn't have a discount code. I read somewhere else on mse that Ocado do free delivery tues to thurs or something, but I can't remember where I read it so I can't link, sorry.

Might be worth looking at if it is a new (and permanent thing) to save you that £9 a month?

    :)

  • Hey don't worry NoOneAround, these things happen :) Sorry you're having such a rough time with Uni finances, I hope you can sort something out for your daughter. Is she able to get a part time job whilst studying to help herself through Uni years?

If you want to delete, you can do it yourself via edit button, (it's your post, and the thread isn't really mine as such so I can't do anything to anybody else's posts on here).

    I teach piano :)

Wish you all the best for getting through your debt :)

  • P.S. I lurk on your diary too :) I don;t post much on other people's diaries, but you have such a positive attitude now, I have no doubt you'll sort this out :)

  • Have deleted post and pasted on own page - will be more careful in future :D

I love piano but can't play. It was the one thing I treated myself to when I took voluntary redundancy 12 years ago (company take over and they wanted us to relocate....chose not to giving up a 40K job:( but no regrets as have been there for the children :j). Encourage kids to learn (never had the opportunities when I was little). Sadly daughter gave up after Gr5 and son after G3. Daughter sings and has G8 recorder and G7 singing, son is G6 on Sax.
Hubby wants me to sell it but I can't bring myself to ----as I intend to learn myself one day when we are back on top of things again. Might be old and grey by then but better late than never :p

  • Refund went through for daughter's trainers yesterday, so her allowance (she contributed towards them) has been transferred. Musical instrument insurance DD has come out today. I have £107 in unbanked cash and that's due to rise to just above £200 before Friday.
Next week I should make a full week's income from private teaching :) I'll add it up later how much is due as it varies from week to week depending on who has paid in advance (and I have one student who pays at the end of the month for lessons owed), and a few cancellations here and there.

Things are definitely looking up now the summer is over though :) it doesn't take long!

  • Brilliant  1 bid on the leather Filofax £10 and 1 on the boots £10

The empty pandora box has been pulled because of listing violations due to pandora brand kicking off about empty boxes not being allowed.
So I'll sell it on gumtree.
