Off to get haircut. Hopefully I'll look less like something that's been dragged through a hedge by the time the hairdresser is done. I really don't like having my haircut (I don't like being touched by strangers) so it's never relaxing and I never feel pampered, I just hope it's done as quickly as possible so I can get it over and done with and get home.

Expensive day over. We've both had long overdue haircuts (and look lovely!), filled the car with petrol and filled a carrier bag with packed lunch stuff ready for Longleat tomorrow

Have packed a lunch for tomorrow
I bought a kids compartmented lunchbox a few months ago and I've only now got around to using it... It's rather adorable, I have a separate little area for my cake, my sarnies, and my orange juice box
I think I may be regressing
Kindle is now charged so I'm off to bed to read Hitchens and be vaguely healthy and eat an apple

Longleat was AWESOME!!!! I am saving clubcard vouchers up and going back next year!!!!
The monkeys only peeled off the covering on the radio antennae so I got away without repairs thereit seems the more shiny the car, the more they went for it, and mine is unwashed and rather old looking now, so didn't attract the real vandals
Big cats were fantastic, but I really must get the car looked at; repeatedly stalling around lions (one of which was getting antsy) is not something is recommend for the faint hearted!
And oh, the gorillas. I love the gorillas. I bought a gorilla tshirt.
That's summer over now. All that's left is today which is just tidying and cleaning, and 3 weekends before my Saturdays start.
Teaching starts again tomorrow but I have a lot of Monday kids not starting back till next week which I expected, so it's not quite as busy tomorrow as the rest of the week will be.
Spreadsheets today. It's the 31st, doncha know?

Well that was a marathon!
I've just transferred all the different pots of money over into their new savings accounts for the September budget, updated my budget app, updated my spreadsheet, downloaded all august's statements and the the back dated statements I've been !!!! at remembering to download, and I think I'm done.
The good news is that I'm only £700 further into debt this month, which is pretty good for August! And that despite the fact that when I set up a budget after a period of ostriching, I do have a habit of spending the budget money all at once as I suddenly have available funds for clothes etc.
I'm quite impressed.

I've just stuck an unused canon printer cartridge on eBay. That should sell, those things cost a bloo*y fortune!

1st September, the rent has gone out, I'm back in the overdraft. Ah well, onwards and upwards, eh?

I've edited my sig and taken off the 'paid' label from the overdraft.

I'm having a bit of a last lie in, seeing as I'm not teaching until late again (most kids aren't coming back for lessons until middle of this week, so next week should be busy but today and yesterday was half dead)
My fees went up yesterday, and it was rather nice to get my first cash payment of the new amountonly £1 more for a half hour lesson but it adds up over the year

Well I may not be teaching much today (kids still not back) but it's giving me some time to do some more writing on my very neglected book, so swings and roundabouts, eh?
