!!!!. Meant to withdraw £15 for a trip to bowling / arcade and pressed the wrong button on the ATM and ended up with ummm £100 cash. DANGER! DANGER!
I'll chuck it back in via the Smile account tomorrow as I can deposit via the post office with that account
In all fairness , the ATM was wonky and had a split screen and I was trying to work out which button to press.
Ho hum, no harm done

I have a wee bit of teaching to do today, and a bit more eBaying. Other than that, I should really get on and start my self assessment return.
Ouch.

My bank account is still overdrawn (usually is this time of the month) but I've been brave and stuck the tax credit payment from this morning into the ISA and I'm going to try not to panic and spend it. It's not budgeted in, so technically it doesn't exist....
So if they ask for it back, I've still got it but I'll have earned some interest on it and it can be my emergency fund if my tax fund doesn't quite work out by January!

Right ho, I have shoved the rest of the £100 withdrawal back into the Nationwide current account via the Smile account (despite my wish to get rid of this account, it's so bloody handy having one I can access through the Post Office, so sod it I'm keeping it!)
Now... hmmm......
Self Assessment returns.
I have radio 3 for company :j

I haven't included car allowance or home as office allowance yet, but I've got a working gross and net figure
And it's only taken me all day
Just enough time to have a quick shower before teaching...

Up and down, up and down!
Down...
The tesco weekly shop yesterday was a scary £50 plus and extra £4 in M&S for gluten free sausages. That's £15 over budget
Up... £55 pre-budget was a cheap shop. I frequently hit £80 plus top ups, so its still a massive improvement.
Up #2... It wasn't a frivolous shop, just happened that we had run out of all the expensive stuff in one go (mostly meat). One bag of frozen chicken usually lasts 6 months and we needed a new one of them!
Up #3... Off the back of that grocery shop, daughter and I worked out a meal plan for the following week to see if we could make a £25 week to make up for £55. Managed £30, and will aim for £35 the following week
Up #4... Some of the food I plan on cooking is batch cooking so will get frozen and last into next week and beyond (beef hotpot and sweetcorn soup) although I did forget this when we meal planned for next week. Twit.
Down... Just had a student cancellation.
Up... Its only one. And I can hardly blame her, she's injuredit'll give me extra time to run some more accounts instead
Down... I can't do aqua aerobics (tried last night). My old disc injury can't cope with any twisting or impact, even when its in water.
Up... Post aerobics swim was fun, and I'm slowly building my fitness levels back up from their current embarrassingly low levels to something marginally less crappy.

Interesting weekend! My Mum visited yesterday which was lovely
Financially, I think I broke even; I bought some odds and sods of salad (and I MAY have have had to buy a large bag of kettle chips twice as I MAY have eaten them all on Friday night. Ahem.)
But Mum came loaded with pasta salads from Marks, two gluten free pizzas, and 2 packets of bubble and squeak sausages from Sainsbos (really bloody nice, and gluten free to boot, so me and daughter can share them)
By a top-banana coincidence, meal plan last night for me was burger and cous cous so I polished off the rest of the salad and the M&S stuff. And we have pasta on Monday so will go halves on pasta and pizza I stead. Sorted!
Already in freezer for next few weeks...
1 portion of home made beef hot pot for daughter
8 bubble and squeak sausages to share
I'm happy to report that despite my scary £55 shop on Thursday, the freezer is RAMMED with food
Oh, and it's my birthday today :j
Daughter bought me a bright orange DAB radio from John Lewis (where else?) That I've been coveting for the past year :j :j she needed to go a little bit joint with my my Mum but most if the cost was her, bless her!
And we have planned tonight..... Film (£0 via tesco clubcard) and prezzo meal (£0 almost via teco clubcard)
Celebrating with friends a different day as some are away on holiday.
