My daughter is really loving her lifts to school in the morning - and the possibility of my coming in later if she forgets something (not always possible, and I don't mind doing it as she is insanely organised so it hasn't happened yet and probably won't very often)
Even though my Credit is at it's highest ever, I know I made the right decision in buying the car a bit earlier than planned - she has exams all this week and has been stressed out and exhausted with it all - at least her mornings are easier and less tiring now.
I'm back on my book again - third draft now - I'm going to read through the other two today to remind myself of what I have discarded, and give the possibility that the odd snippet here and there is worth keeping (or expanding on)
And I had my first youtube comment! "I really like your videos, Chopin"
Written by the Dad of the little girl they are aimed at...... I'm glad they are finding them useful - and it's been great for me as it's triggered off a whole new extension to my teaching..... I've been posting a few more advanced pieces for students as well, specifically ones that are going through technical details (and by technical, I mean the original meaning of the word - so not just pure finger stuff, but the realisation of the artistic processes - deconstructing the piece and working through the deconstruction)
I'm happy with it!
Book today........ I always go into it a bit apprehensive, after years of not getting anywhere, but so far, this draft is more like what I am aiming for in the book.
Now, where did I put that Mind Map????

Dipped into savings again - £22 on stationary for me and daughter (including £12 on a huge packet of postit notes from staples - I can't survive without postit notes, I stick them to student's books, the piano, my scores, everything!)

It's been a long time since I've been on here! Things have changed a fair bit since I was last here (I hope...)
I've not paid off that much, but I do have a new job as of September which is going to help enormouslyI won't know by how much till term starts as it's zero hours, but I think it should be enough to make a significant difference
I need to adjust my signature, but this time of year is scary for my finances (I'm overdrawn for the first time in months and months because of the lack of work this time of year), but I'm just about staying on top of things and am slowly paying off everything.

Right ho. So it's been another well-over-a-year, and things are still not looking good, although my income has gone up considerably (not counting the recent mortgage/accountant debacle that has stressed me out).
I've just got back on track and restarted with a tight budget, and I think I can clear these debts within 18months if I stick to a really tight budget and don't do anything stupid.
Food costs have already been worked on as they were getting extortionate. Time to batten down the hatches, knuckle down, work like a little %^&*^&*^&*er and clear these debts!

P.S. part of the reason my debts have gone up is I moved house - got a new rental which is £125 more per month, but is free from the dangerous black mould that was plaguing the old place, and I now have a separate teaching room which means my income from self employed teaching is steadily going through the roof from where it was. The only problem is, it cost me a bomb to do the move, kit out the new house with furniture etc to replace the stuff that either didn't survive the move or was too bloody mouldy (gum tree I love you). I'm also still recovering from sticking the car on the credit cards - a hell of a risk at the time, but it's gradually starting to pay off as I did get a new job and it's really starting to bring money in now (it's in HE and students have filtered my way slowly, so it's not happened all at once). Ho hum, onwards and upwards!
