What about St. Michael O'Leary running the British economy, any takers?0

Haha well that got taken more seriously than I intended. I know they don't charge for loos, that was a cheap shot admittedly. I've flown with them in the past once or twice, neither was a particularly enjoyable experience but you get what you pay for I guess.
My point was insulting customers and levying heavy penalties on those who make mistakes. The point was wrapped in rhetoric but this is the interwebs after all.
I do actually like the way Molly has completely removed the snobbery from air travel and given stuffy airlines like BA a kick up the backside. It used to be really something to get a flight, travelling by plane meant you moved in the higher echelons of society, you really were someone. Now it's just like getting the no.53 bus! Just another form of public transport, which is all it is after all!0 -

Look up RYR website.
Pick the flight.
Gt a great price.
No priority boarding, no hold luggage.
Hand luggage obeys the rules.
Check in online.
Go to airport.
Get on plane.
Hike your hand baggage upwards.
read book, or whatever.
buy a coffee if you feel flush.
Ignore the scratch card.
Stick yer earplugs in for the bugle on arrival
What's so different to any other plane journey (other than the bl..dy bugle!)
Enjoy your flight.0 -
I have never found particularly cheap flights with RA, But then I neither want to go to Ireland or a nation who's name consists of no vowels.
I have used them in the past due mainly to more convient flight times or departing from nearer airports, but cheap, nah.
Dare say we can all spout cheap flights for our favourite carriers if we wanted, such a boring game. The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.0 -

The difference is that I don't have to negotiate the "repeat the unreadable code" to first access my favourite site. No need for priority boarding as I can choose my seat for free when I check in, I can take 2 hold bags free of charge, my hand luggage has never been weighed or measured, don't have to read a book because I get free IFE, no need to buy a coffee because I will get a free bar and meal, and there is no self trumpeting bugle at the end. All for the same cost ( or cheaper or more expensive) than RA for where I want to go.The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. Loved reading your post but must go to meet my mum now, she's flying from her nearest airport to my nearest airport with Ryanair for £15.99, it was that or £704 with Air France (one way)0
