O'Leary's answer re: apps & printing boarding passes.

For now, true to form, O'Leary confirmed that Ryanair customers "with no life and no friends" who wanted to download its new mobile booking app would have to pay €3 for the privilege. "If you want it you can pay for it."

The bullish airline boss also said he "didn't care" that Suzy McLeod, a Ryanair passenger, had recently won the support of hundreds of thousands of Facebook users after being forced to pay €60 per person for the airline to print out boarding passes for her family of five at Alicante airport. He said: "We think Mrs McLeod should pay for being so stupid."

Personally, I couldn't agree with St Mike more.
Just think what Britain could be like if David Cam moron had been able to reshuffle O'Leary into No 11 Downing Street to run the finances :D

  • I don't understand how Ryan Air still exists. Who uses it? It's almost identical to that jewellery pedaller who called his stock crap. How can you call your customers stupid, charge them fees for everything from toilets to printing one sheet of paper and be generally prattish and still have people pay for your goddamn services!?

Millions of passengers every year, it makes millions in profits when others are loosing millions and it's the company the whole industry watches for ideas.

PS. You obviously don't use them or you would know that they DON'T charge to use the loo, try them for £12 you don't know what you are missing and then your comments can carry some weight.

I use "it". O'Leary does not call all his passengers stupid, just those that cannot follow simple instructions and/ or those that believe media hype. Difficult to disagree when you think about it that way!

    * Wonders what category those that use the word "prattish" fall into! *

    Riga £25 return
    Belfast £10 return
    Dublin 2p return
No card fees, no check in fees, no surcharges.

Why-oh-why did I use RyanAir?

Haha well that got taken more seriously than I intended. I know they don't charge for loos, that was a cheap shot admittedly. I've flown with them in the past once or twice, neither was a particularly enjoyable experience but you get what you pay for I guess.

My point was insulting customers and levying heavy penalties on those who make mistakes. The point was wrapped in rhetoric but this is the interwebs after all.

  • Used them once only. They were cheaper than anyone else for that particular weekend in Dublin. Don't remember the experience being any better or worse than other budget flights we've bought.

It's not rocket science to get it right. They tell you what to do re boarding passes etc when you book.

Mrs Bob the Saver and I went for a day and the airport parking cost 1500 times more than my flight to Dublin.
