unhappy with kfc response

to cut a long story short i recently decided to treat the family to kfc after a long day and got the streetwise feast. i dont eat there often but as i say, this was a treat.

food was ok until one of my kids pulled out a piece of paper from the bucket when they went to get some chicken. she handed it to me and asked what it was. amazingly the greasy bit of paper had in big letters 'f**k you you f*****g c**t" written on it!!!

honestly i felt sick to my core that someone had put this in our food and resulted in the children seeing such language. i immediately emaled kfc and they took four days to reply saying sorry and that the store would follow up with me. they did and said I could have a free meal which i said i did not want. i sent them an email asking what they had found out and why the slip of paper was there. i also asked what would happen to the staff who had done this and what they would be doing to make up for the fact that we have had to cope with children exposed to language like this.

so far, no reply. is there a better way of getting them to respond? i defiintely will not be going back.

What do you actually want? A free meal seems fair enough. Are you after a cash sum? If you are how much do you want?

a free meal is useless when i am not going back. i would expect them to find the culprit and have them sacked or disciplined, at least make sure they do not work unsupervised. im not after compensation, but a small cheque would be justified.
  • Was this before or after the note left in your shoes that you brought from Next?

They can not give you that information though.

If a staff member is going through disciplinary procedure then it is confidential.

I imagine they will investigate, however that wil be an internal company matter and you won't be privy to the outcome. Although I would imagine it was the employees last day anyway.

Had you done something instore to annoy the staff or was this just a random attack?

I see no reason why KFC should send you a cheque. Boycotting a whole restaurant chain and refusing a free meal because of the isolated action of one idiot member of staff seems OTT.

i didnt do anything to annoy the staff this was completely unwarranted.

i think it is only right they make a small gesture, given it was an obscene note in a their meal that exposed my children to the most foul language i have ever seen.

What do you want? Counselling for them? They'll get over it (if you stop making a song and dance about it that is).

As for the staff member involved, it's none of your business how KFC choose to discipline him/her.
  • Guys, this person is a troll, has been creating AE's and each story is about an obscene note thats been left in their latest purchase.

These days the c bomb gets dropped alot. I am sure they will encounter these words again! The trick is to be a competent parent and teach them that these words are unacceptable
