I`m getting too old for this Ebay malarky!

So today after four years of trading on Ebay I get a neutral feeback. I must admit I didn`t respond to the email I got from my disgruntled buyer, I couldn`t find the words to respond - so I`ll take it on the chin.
My buyer was unhappy because the items I sold her - two vintage cushion covers - had some feathers left inside them.

Well blow me down with a feather, what a fuss over nothing. Never mind Lakelady 1 neutral in 4 years is a very good standard it wouldn't put me off.0 -
I received a neutral because an item took 3 working days to arrive.... It took the same buyer a week to post a cheque to me, and I even posted the items before I banked it. (it was only £3 something). I messaged them politley asking why they thought a neutral was appropriate - the reply was unprintable on a family forum.
Negged them back for a multitude of buying sins.<--- Nothing to see here - move along --->0 -
Tell them the feathers were there to soften the blow of their disappointment.0

Tell them you use them to keep the P&P costs down,

A surreal reply like 'As seen on a packet of Sainsburys Fruit & Nut mix, warning may contain nuts' a nice little dig that she has no comeback on."As if by magic... the shopkeeper appeared."0 -

That's one of my pet hates. people that pay late and expect you to break your neck running their item straight to the post office and guaranteeing it for next day.
I find cheque payers particularly bad for that, they wait days to send a cheque then as soon as they do post it they start asking where their item is
I had an odd one a couple of weeks back that I mentioned on here, went through checkout and said they were going to send a cheque. Then on day 5 after sale I get a paypal payment and a curt note followed up by an email saying they expected item to be with them following day due to the time that had elapsed since purchase! Trouble is their paypal payment did not arrive until late afternoon so item didn't go until next working day...and no feedback has yet been left on either side.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Maybe your buyer was worried about the fine print of your listing?
Limited time offer: FREE Avian Flu sample with every vintage cushion cover ;-)
I find it helpful to remember that you can't satisfy everyone all the time. There is always going to be a small minority that are never satisfied, no matter how hard you try to please them..."Money is truthful. If a person speaks of their honour, make sure they pay in cash."0
