From a micro economic perspective, with regard to business and commerce, bankruptcy is a means of re-allocating scare resources to more efficient providers of goods and services.
How that applies to individuals is less clear. In the USA, a bankruptcy under your belt is better that an MBA or law degree from Harvard. In the slightly more bigoted society of the U.K such is not the case.
We fought a bitter and ultimately fruitless battle to avoid bky, and having actually been dragged punching and screaming through the system I really do feel quite indifferent about the whole thing.
It's like having a s**t, I'd really rather not bother, but it's just a part of being human.

Hi Mike,
Bloody wearisome, having to cut a few corners, but we'll get there; when we get moved in you guys will be the first to get an invite to our hot tub and al fresco evening; we'll put some of our detractors on the BBQ.

Well done Mike,
You've stopped me from once again proving that I have a severe character flaw: I just can't keep my mouth shut
