What do you honestly think of bankrupts?

Well said, Rog. Although I don't feel totally relaxed now I'm BR because I'm waiting to hear what my IPA's going to be set at, I do not feel & never will feel ashamed of the decision I made to go BR. I have no assets, don't own my home & have no way of raising additional funds, other than going down the criminal activities route. I'm not going to ask friends/family for money, & potentially dig myself an even bigger hole. And though at times I've been treated for depression, I am sufficiently self-aware to know that going down the suicide route would make me disappear, not the debts, so I'm here for the long haul.

I took professional advice & was told BR was the best option for me, left it for a few months & then realised that advice had been correct all along. I now care more about when my friend's cat is going to start licking her rear end than I do about someone else's opinion of that decision, so if someone has something negative to say to me about it they'd be better off keeping their opinion to themselves. They haven't been there when I was struggling with my situation, & I don't need their input now. I am walking taller now than I was when I was burdened by debts on my mind that I knew I couldn't pay, & putting on a front pretending everything was alright in my world. I won't hang my head in shame, because I've done nothing to be ashamed of.
Instead of some people being quick to judge bankrupts, they should be thanking their lucky stars they haven't reached that stage themselves.BSC #53 - "Never mistake activity for achievement."

Was needed for more important things(ie gas eletric, etc) And life isnt as easy as something. and these situations do come up. But all i say is, HEY HO. THATS LIFE.SAW THE LIGHT JAN 2007:eek::beer:

Questions like this though are a good challenge for us all. The positive and constructive posts can be very helpful indeed.. It also shows that the people that do critisise us get their opinions shot to flames if needs be !0

It's better than crime I guess, tho not much, The problem should be addressed long before this being the best solution.
If I were you (Which Im glad I aint) I would sit and ponder on that thought.
Do you think most people do it for a laugh, to rid of debt for a day out to court.
We had a great day out when we went B, Got the train to Liverpool, had breakfast in a posh hotel, went for some drinks, went out for dinner.... (hear the scratch on the record?) We cried hard and hard, Had a whole day being grilled by a stranger about the most sensitive things in my life. I am not bankrupt, Im ashamed, embarrassed, feel like a failure..
What a pathetic comment - before you reply, if you have the balls to do so on this forum, think about how desparate some people are, think how on edge they may be and that your 'unthought out' comment, may just tip them over the edge, and you would have done that - all for a daft stupid thoughtless comment.

i thought putting a poll like this for no reason is going to attract good and bad comments.but just because someone makes a comment that you dont agree with, you cant shoot them down in flames.im bankrupt and i also have family members who are strongly against bankruptcy so i have heard both sides.im afraid you have put quiet alot of negative answers down on your poll,so dont be surprise if you hear things that you dont agree with.how about using this site for the purpose it was ment for ie to give advice and support.0

Hang on - here we go again.
The reason for this is to encorage difference, understanding and opinion. Thats the reason.
This site is about support, opinions and people learning to understand. I will shoot anyone down oin flames just as much as I have been in the past if im wrong. Forgive me but isnt this an open forum for discussion ?

One last thing before I get off my soap box. WHY do you insist on bringing me down a peg or two.. I note you dont offer the advice, support and help DAILY on these boards like some others do.
If yopu dont have anything helpful or interesting or supportive to ask or say, apart from something that YOU want... HHmmm...
Im off my soap box now. (Told ya I was in a bad mood !)0 -

Id love your HONEST opinion.

Not everyone will agree with you, their opinion is valid, however this is a forum for support so maybe this isn't the best place for this thread even if it is about bankrupcy.
Please be nice to other moneysavers
