Ill tell you my embarrasing moment on the subject of food mispronounciation...
Years ago I worked next door to a pie shop and would nip in for lunch twice a week. One weekend my husband took me in and I ordered my usual. On sitting in the car I commented to my husband that I couldnt understand why this pie was called what it was because it had no lettuce in it.
DH was crying with laughter as he explained to me my Vegetable Lettuce was a Lattice.
And no, I never have lived it down.0 -
