other way of earning some decent money is by purchasing things like car insurance, house insurance, roadside assistance etc through TopCashBack - I've literally earned just over £400 in less than a year doing this. What I usually do is look for car insurance on one of the search companies like the meerkat one or confused . com, find the cheapest quote and then see if I can make cash on it via TCB. So I;m saving money and making it at the same time!0

Thanks to JJ for this one.........I am watching several cheap as chips furniture items on Ebay with a view to a bit of DIY then re sell, I have done it before but kept the items, my friends say i should train as an Interior Designer and that i have a natural flair for design, not sure about that but I get compliments all the time on the interior of my home.
My earlier bargains were a table and chairs for just over £3, i bought some black cotton chair covers off ebay for £3 each as the chairs were in terrible nick looks very smart now.
I also bought an end table for a £5 that just needed sanded and varnished and most recently a fireplace for 99p.
It just takes time and patience............so here i go.........loan £57,000!!!!

Well done on your first full payment. I hope this month is going well for you. If you haven't sold your spare mobiles yet then try the mobilechecker on MSE to see which site will give you the best price. What's useful is that you can see the reviews from people who have used them and make you decision about which to use from there. We used Envirofone for 2 phones and made £60. Speaking of phones, if you are not tied into a contract or it's coming up for renewal I would recommend GiffGaff, it's PAYG, but I get 250 minutes, unlimited texts and unlimited internet using their goodybag system. I sold my old smart phone, bought a bog standard unlocked phone from Argos and still had money to spare. The other good thing about GG is that calls to other GG users are free so long as you top up once within 3 months, so get the family and friends on it too!
I see you're using survey sites, I would recommend Valued Opinions, on average I make £10 a month and it only takes 5 minutes every other day. I cash in the money as Sainsburys vouchers so I can use it for my shopping, which would mean £10 for your pot. I also used dooyoo.com but it takes ages to get enough points to redeem and then you can only get Amazon vouchers.
The other thing we did was to turn half of our meals vegi each week and we now only spend £30 a week on groceries for 2 people. When times were really tough we tried to not go shopping for a couple of weeks and just used things from the store cupboards.
Hope something in there is useful and can't wait to see how you're getting on. Good Luck!0 -
Thanks Vintage and RachB2
All advice gratefully taken.
Today was a shopping day so not a NSD but i did the go down a brand thing and spent £20 less than usual. I also didnt buy as much convenience foods but more raw ingredients. Better for us anyway.
My toddler loved making muffins rather than buying them, not convinced it was cheaper though but it passed time that i may have spent doing something more expensive with her, like soft play so in the end it was.
Thursday should be a NSD, fingers crossed.
