  • I slept really well last night for the first time in months and this morning i woke up really eager to get going.

My first task was to see what bills i can lower, unfortunaltely i am tied in for now with most but i did change Gas and Electric over to a fixed price deal thats £98 cheaper a year and i did it on a comparison site and gained £15 for using them. I am in credit with my current supplier by £95 and the last bill was not estimated so its pretty accurate so most of that should be coming back too.
So although its not in my hand i made over £200 this morning.
    Well pleased with myself, LOL.
Last night i joined Clix Research and spents hours fillling in the panel info, i also joined loads more survey companies but only the ones that seem to pay ok.Done a few this morning.

I feel like i am making progress slowly but surely.

July 2013 made 11th full payment of £491 to loan, Hooray!!!!!! B XX
  • Well done and congratulations on your money saving morning! Are you in a position to throw what you have saved at your most expensive debt? It all helps.

One other tip here. When it comes to car insurance time some people use a certain comparison website which gives you a free meerkat! They then sell this on eBay! Obviously only do this if tou can't get a better quote elsewhere!
  • Thanks unimaginative user name
I need to find two hundred extra a month just to meet the minimum payment but everything over that is going in to a savings account and once it reaches a hundred its going straight to the loan company, at least thats the plan.

  • I 100% second what unimaginative username said about the meerkats!!! People are odd but if they want to give me their hard earned pennies for a free stuffed toy who am I to complain :)

Well done on all the steps you've taken so far!
  • Well done on making this big step... I'd suggest having a look at the make £10 a day in September thread they always have some great ideas for making and saving money, and joining in can be great support while you pull together more money.

Thanks i have pinched some ideas from that thread already as well as others

Today i made the earlier mentioned £200+, I got 334 new points on swag bucks, i finished filling in the profiles of all my household for Clix search and i did numerous surveys.
Tonight i have found some new stuff to ebay after going through my shoe wardrobe (yes i have an entire wardrobe for shoes!! Just call me Imelda), i found two brand new boxed pairs of boots that cost over a hundred each pair when bought so hopefully i should get a bit from them.
Tomorrows plan is to do click worker assessments and dig out old mobile telephones ready for sale, not much free time tomorrow so thats probs all i will get done.

  • Not much achieved today, did the assessments and passed for clickworker except the new one cos the link wouldnt work. grr,
Did a few surveys but most were just for entry in to draw, tonight i have more stuff to list on ebay and gonna spend some time on swagbucks, if i get time i may join the Amazon selling team.

Sorry if i seem a little flat, i am still very motivated. But i had a three hour operation today.
I suppose i should come clean and say I have Cancer, it started as Cervical Cancer and quickly spread to my bladder then both Kidneys and now they are worried its in my stomach. The surgery today was to remove it from my Kidneys and biopsy my stomach which thankfully apart from being red and inflammed apparently showed no obvious tumours (finally some luck!!).
I was told two weeks ago i have a less than 50% chance of surviving this as its very aggressive, but after surgery today they revised that to MORE than 50% chance, which i think is much more positive and i like much better lol.
So my motivation for clearing the debt is not only for the obvious reasons that financially its killing me ( no pun intended LOL) but but that should the worst happen i dont want to leave the debt to come from my estate which would be my pensions and my home as i want my kids to have them. What better reason could i have??
Anyway nuff of that, I am not looking for sympathy or trying to make everyone sad i just felt it was time to explain further.
Now i have i wont mention it again unless its pertinant or someone asks.
So does everyone think its better to sell Books, DVDs, BlueRays and CDs etc on Amazon or Ebay? I cant decide, i used to be indecisive but now i am not so sure. LOL
