Sorry to hear about the car. Thats definately enough to make anyone feel depressed .

Can you tell the difference between general meh and your bi-polar starting? DH knows when he is getting low and when he needs just a kick up the butt or he needs meds and time out (he isn't bi-polar but has clinical dep)

Having suffered with clinical depression... I feel very sorry for both him and also for you... My poor o/h has had to put up with a lot with mine....x:o
  • Hi Youareallhelpingme

To answer your question Yes i can tell for definate when i am going manic, its literally like the whole world is on fast forward and i am running to catch up, although to others i am the one on fast forward or so i am told.
But its more difficult when on a downwards slope, by the time i need help i am beyond caring that i need help, so what initially i just thought was a funk wasnt, so my usual guide line is if it lasts more than a few days tell someone.
I am lucky that i have a great Community Psychiatric Nurse who comes round once a fortnight, but she will come more often when i am really ill, as often as twice a day sometimes. But sometimes asking for help is the hardest part, its like if i admit i need help then i am failing in some way, which intellectually i know is wrong but thats what it feels like.
I imagine its different for everyone.

    HI Bast
    Hope you are well?
I here what you are saying but my bipolar causes me panic attacks, i cant go to busy places, i havent socialised without my family, who reassure me, in three years.
I havent been to town in 2 years, if you cant buy it in local supermarket or on line we dont have it.
If we go for a meal we have to go off peak time, i shop early on to avoid people. It rules my life really.
I try very hard to be positive and be grateful for what i have, but sometimes it really gets me down, and the whole cycle starts again lol.
Anyways i am sure its just a funk this time not my bipolar cos last night the kids and i were laughing so hard at my youngest trying to do a handstand that i almost fell off sofa.

I dont think i can do anything about the loan, i filled out the debt and mental health forms and they have them but they are not obliged to act on the info although its considered good practice to do so.
As for my physical health they are not obliged to act on that either and there are no guidelines even for that.
It wont be £57 k now but i only get an annual figure so i wont know till later in year how much i have nibbled off.

  • Thanks, I am very lucky, my kids are great and my wider family are very understanding and i know that they are worth more than anything.
I have spent the day listing stuff on Ebay, 89 items in total, in the hope that i can raise some money to put in a car fund.
Hope you had a great weekend?

I too have ebayed and sold an item this weekend... Only trouble is I have seen a lovely pair of boots I am now "desperate" for: read that as I dont need them .. but desperately love them...:rotfl:
I have so many debts that need paying off they are staying firmly on the catalogue page and away from my feet... even though they would look great :)
Hope your ebaying goes well... It really does sound like you need another car...x
  • Well i now have a 100 items listed on ebay so hopefully at least a couple will sell LOL

  • I havent got the patience to list 100 items . I've been on eb*y for over 3 months and got the amount of feedback it said I had to have to be able to list 100 items but it still wont let me list more than 25 items in a calendar month. No idea why but at the moment 25 will be enough before I get confused over what is being sent where and how :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

They are lovely and will lasts years and years... well that`s my defence anyway....x
  • Can't beat a decent pair of boots, useful, versatile and definately better for the english weather than sandals :D
