For Sale Board Stolen

Sorry should have stated it's a flat. The entrance to our flat is at the side of the building, therefore all for sale boards are at the front of the building facing the main road.

Just find it strange that none of the other boards have been touched. Told my estate agent about it and he asked "Do you want it replaced?" thought that would be obvious!

I could put a sign up outside my living room window however we are on the top floor and as I said our entrance is at the side of the building so wouldn't be seen very well

Can't suggest anything that wouldn't be cut as easily as cable ties.

Can you re-site it out of arm's reach?

It has to be said - do you get along with the other neighbours who are also selling....?

It also has to be said; any rival neighbour or agent would have to pretty darn stoopid to even think about sabotaging another's board; where's the finger of suspicion going to point first?

I'm assuming of course that the other two boards are for different properties that are also for sale, not that you have three agents acting for you.....

Yes I get on with my neighbours

Might be the council. I thought you were only allowed one actual board outside a block... could be wrong.

Not sure I'd bother with a board if there are others up. Really doesn't look promising for prospective buyers to see everyone's trying to sell up!

  • If there are already multiple signs up, maybe this was one sign too many for someone living on the ground floor whose view/light was already blocked by the all the others?

No it wouldn't be the Council. I am based in Glasgow, perhaps that's the case in other areas.

I'm bothering with a board as during the recession I need as much advertisement as possible and I was one of the first to put mine up for sale in the first instance.

So... you'd wait for the other two to sell before you went on the market?

If someone passes by, notes that flats are for sale there, and phones the two agents that DO have boards up, what will prompt them to phone the OP's agent if they don't have a board?

Here is a link of the street view to show there is no possible way a sign could block the neighbours view. Boards are placed behind the white barrier

    OK, was just a thought.

I used to love driving past there as a kid and seeing the caravans in the tower.

    Sorry, off topic! :o

Haha!! I used to live in the estate behind it when I was a kid so has lots of memories for me and will be sad when it eventually sells. Fingers crossed!
