Well, lets face it, you wouldn't be strong enough to carry it on your diet!
Ahh the flesh eaters intelligent response along with the one from cambsman. Researched this did you???
As I said in an earlier post follow the link for vegan village and learn something!Official DFW Nerd Club Member no:219In the Court Of The Crimson KingI don't believe in the concept of hell, but if I did I would think of it as filled with people who were cruel to animals.Gary Larson0 -
what gets me is all the people who say that they would never stop eating meat...how many would say that if they had to kill there food???
personally i love meat and fish as long as its a good quality piece. Thats why i try and get the free range organic stuff from my local butchers.
As theres very little veg which gives iron and protein I guess thats meat and dairy products are needed in the human diet without having to swallow pills everyday.
ps the definition of muder is "The unlawful killing of one human by another, especially with premeditated malice."
human..not animalSmile and be happy, things can usually get worse!0 -

You're the one missing out darling! More steak for me!
And I know everything I need to without visiting some propoganda site. Next you'll be telling me to buy the Guardian! :rolleyes:0 -

well its about time you gave up the daily mail:rotfl::rotfl:
I eat meat... therefore I am a racist who loves the royal family???
If only I knew, I'd have turned vegan a long time ago!
Edit: This thread is a joke. It has nothing to do with moneysaving, and very tenuous links to being green, can someone close it?0 -

Am I sensing frustration and slight temper fraying! You won't even visit the site with an 'open mind'?? Why?
Also calling me 'darling' sounds very condescending as I'm sure that's how you meant it to sound.Official DFW Nerd Club Member no:219In the Court Of The Crimson KingI don't believe in the concept of hell, but if I did I would think of it as filled with people who were cruel to animals.Gary Larson0 -

Okay tr3mor, it sounds like you're getting a bit het up here. Can I just say that I totally believe that 'everyone' has a free choice in how they chose to live. For me I chose to live cruelty free and can justify this. You can justify eating meat. All I'm saying is please read the link. It's not 'propoganda'. James Gold was a spinal specialist, it's from a medical point of view.
Also this thread has everything to do with being green, here's why...
Going vegan can reduce your carbon emissions by 1.5 tonnes per year: in comparison, switching from a petrol car to a hybrid car can only reduce emissions by one tonne per year. Switching to a plant based diet is the simplist, healthiest way to slash carbon emissions and combat climate change, and, of course, spare the suffering of animals.
Global water crisis
Animal farming uses much more land, energy and water than plant-based agriculture. There is already a global water shortage, and drought is caused by climate change. Even the most water-intensive plant crop uses far less water per kilogram of food produced than the most water-efficient form of animal agriculture. The worst offender is beef production which uses a staggering 100,ooo litres per kg. If the West continues to consume animal products, it's the worlds rural poor - along with the animals themselves - who will suffer the most.
Greenhouse Gases
Animal farming produces methane and nitrous oxide, both from manure management and the animals own gaseous emissions. More crops must be grown to feed animals than would be needed if fed directly to humans. Farm supplies, animal feed and farmed animals must be transported great distances under this regime, producing carbon dioxide and nitrous oxide. Heat and electricity used by slaughterhouses and farms further increase energy demand, which is currently met by carbon-emitting power stations. Because plant-based agriculture is many times more efficient, the vegan diet has a smaller 'carbon-footprint'.
So as you can see this thread has everything to do with 'being green'.
Hope you find the information 'interesting'.Official DFW Nerd Club Member no:219In the Court Of The Crimson KingI don't believe in the concept of hell, but if I did I would think of it as filled with people who were cruel to animals.Gary Larson0 -
