Good Morning All
Elona - hope they find out what is wrong with DD quickly & get her on the mend. I was admitted last year with very similar symptoms and there can be so many different things that could cause it.
Monday morning urgh, however starting to get our lives back in routine. Had a little lie in this morning as spent some of our boot sale profits on a meal out last night and got in late. No more lie ins from tomorrow though.
Have a few errands to run today and the other main aim is to get loads of washing done and on the line as the forcast is good.
Not sure what is for dinner but may do a barbecue as have lots of bits in the freezers that need to be used up before I can stock on more wintry food.
Nothing else exciting happening, have a great day all.x0 -
Morning all,
bit gloomy here this morning, hopefully it will brighten up later on, got some washing to do and would like to hang it out.
Need to have a good clean through and tidy up today, the house is in a terrible mess, all my time has been going into the lounge atm, so it all needs a good sort out.
I think I will do stuffed marrow for dinner, I really dont like the thought of it it makes me a bit _pale_ but I have a glut of corgettes and marrow's and OH loves it, so I promised we would try it.
Need to do an online shop today, and visit my dad if I get a chance.
Elona, I hope dd is ok xx
Have good days all xx0 -
Good Morning All!
nmlc - don't blame you for being angry at all. Just wondered whether you'd considered making a claim on your household insurance? Obviously if there's an excess then your BIL should certainly be paying that. We had some damage to a kitchen work surface earlier in the year which meant it needed replacing and it was several days before I realised that that was exactly why we had household insurance in the first place. Sorry if this isn't an appropriate solution - just thought it might help!
elona - do hope your DD is much better today. it doesn't matter how old they are - we always worry about our children.
Good luck to all those starting back to work after the holidays. I remember it well - puzzlement as to how fast the holidays had raced by, but also excitement at the idea of a fresh new beginning!
DGD and DS arrived yesterday as she has 3 non-pupil days this week. I think her school has had some building work done over the break so doubtless staff are in sorting everything out for the new term! We need to sort out a replacement for DS's mobile which was lost/stolen on Friday. I still can't find the insurance paperwork, but I do have all my bank details that show carphone warehouse are being paid insurance premiums every month, so am hoping we can get it sorted quickly. Then we need to purchase new school shoes for DGD! She mentioned twinkles to me last night so I checked with Mum - no twinkles for school (as I thought)!! Just shows that even 5 year-olds will try it on if they can!
Anyway, hope you all have a good day today.
Do take care.Resolution:

morning all
blue skies here today.kids back to school wednesday and im going to the consultant tomorrow which i cant wait for as my arm is aching all the time and never stops so need to know what to say about that. i really dont know what to do about work. im a school cook and for anyone that knows that job it is very physical. i need to be able to put out about 150 chairs and tables as well as cooking all the meal (about 80-90) on my own. i get help at 1130 but between 930 and 1130 all the cooking is done. so.... massive pans of boiling water etc. i broke my arm badly ( both ulna and radius and chips of the elbow) 6 weeks ago and although its healed well im still in pain daily. i only started to drive last week and then would only do local as it hurts. work are really funny about having time off as im in charge and need to be reliable. im doing most jobs at home now but it aches all the time and ive started strong pain killers again. in the evenings i sit with hot wheat packs on it. im signed off work til the 13th but could get more time off as the consultant told me i could have longer on the original certificate. i long to get back to normal but dont want more pain.
i feel like im writing to an agony aunt:rotfl:
so would you go back to work or stay off longer??
nmlc i would be angry too and the worst thing ever is that they didnt say. if they have done that much damage they knew full well that they had hit it...what sort of person does not get out of the car and say?? family as well.....:mad:
need to strip the beds today so my daughter can help me as it hurts to do that. hubby has put his back out so he cant move and hes not back to work today.
made lemon drizzle cake yesterday which was lovely but not very ww!!
have a good day everyone0 -
Morning All
elona, I really hope that your DD is ok and it isn't too serious ((((Hugs))))
Looks like it is going to be a nice day here as well. We are going foraging this afternoon when DH gets home from work, I want to get some blackberries and see if the squirrels have left any cob nuts.
Defrosting the big freezer this morning, because we are hoping to get over to the freezer trade centre either at the end of this week or the beginning of next week. I have put aside the money for that (We go every couple of months and the months that we don't go I put away £30 and it has been two months since we last went, so I have £60 extra to play with) That should refill the freezer nicely
Oh well the WM has just finished so I had better get it on the line. I want to strip the beds today as well.
Have good days all BFN xBlessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

Morning All
Grey at the moment, but we are promised sun later. Actually managed to have a lay in till 8am today!:T
Had a lovely weekend, no cooking at all. Out on all three days. Diets gone to pot though! Will have to start again today:rotfl:
DS rang me last night, and he's a bit worried. He asked me if MS is hereditary, which I said it could be. He's got a numb leg and arm at the moment. I have been worried about him for a while, but didn't want to frighten him, he's only 22.:o I have told him it may not be, and to go and see his GP for a referral to the hospital. I hope it isn't, but if it is, we will deal with it. I have managed, he will too.:o
DD put some fab pictures of DGD on Facebook. They were taken for our local paper's Baby of the Year, got to vote for her now. If you would like to see the link is https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.157342694283333.38856.100000228105529&type=3&l=259ab02456 The one she put on is the first one.
Hospital for me this afternoon, hopefully I am going to get this gyne problem solved at last, only a year late:rotfl:
Have a good day allI Believe in saving money!!!:T

Morning all, Hope all is as well as it can be.
Holidays nearly over, my six weeks of peace will be shattered by the teachers coming in to set up their rooms for the new term, Lots of rubbish suddenly appearing from cupboards that no doubt i will have to shift.
DD is very pleased with herself, she can tie up her school tie. She is pretty much all kitted out for her new school. DW is stressing a bit, but having worked in schools for years i find it all a bit easier.
Coop for the chooks is back today, so this afternoon will be clearing the run ready for the new girls arriving on Saturday.
Not a lot else going down at the moment. Good luck to all who have children starting or returning to school over the next week.
take care all
Sy..Never put off till tomorrow what you can do today!
Cos if you do it today and like it...You can do it again tomorrow..

Good morning all,
Bit overcast but I am going to risk putting my whites out on the line.
Having a big problem with my neck and shoulder at the moment, it's making everything very uncomfortable. Think I might go back to the docs this week. Have had it for a couple of weeks and keep thinking it will sort itself out but it's not. Also limping with my leg. I feel vey old at the moment:(
My DS had an accident last week and burnt his hand quite badly. So it has been bandaged for a few days and he has been to see the burns specialist who thank goodness thinks it will heal ok without too much lasting damage or loss of sensation.
Dh out at work early this morning and youngest DS in bed. He is not starting 6th form until 10th Sept so is making the most of it. We need to go and get him a couple of shirts this week as he has tot wear smart business wear for college.
Tea tonight will be chilli and wedges with rice. I have some eBay parcels to post and more items to list so that will keep me busy today. Off for a shower and to let the hot water run on my neck.
Have a good day All J xStarted Self Managed DMP 10th May 2017.

Wuvvies problem is do you risk recovery of arm by going back too soon? I would be concerned about doing permament damage to it
