Well, everything done off today's plans. After 3 days I've had enough of gardening, so the rest can wait till the weekend. Nothing off today's official list either, but I'm worn out so I must have been doing something. Time for cuppa and cake while everyone around me rushes off to do the school run.

I've just spent an age ensuring the files are all in apple-pie order, printing out a small supply of stationery, plus an instruction sheet and list of useful email addresses, to start the new chap off, and putting all the templates he'll need in a nice, tidy folder on my USB flash drive - if he brings a flash drive to our meeting, I can just copy it all across, simpler than emailing all the separate templates. I've suggested that Mr LW phone him to set up time and place, as he'll have to come along with me.:o

Bathroom is sparkly, too, so I haven't neglected my scheduled Flying.;)

  • Staggers into thread - thank you so much for the flylady posi-vibes....

They grilled DD1 for ages - and their decision is that she is awarded low rate care...which is better than nothing!

But it is backdated to last December!

The initial award is for 2.5 years, but next year we are in 1 of the regions that is trialling the personal independence plans (PIP'S) - so she will probably lose it!

Still that's for next year... today is for celebrating!

We have rung the hossie t try and find her surgery date - she is 'pencilled in' for 25th Sept. My 25th wedding anniv is the 26th...so it's looking like a takeaway!

I'm so pleased for you, CyclingYorkie and DD. definitely cause for celebration! :j  :j

One less problem to worry about.:T

Hello there, RowanTree and Mrs Moneypenny
It was nice of you to break for a coffee with me this morning.

Lamewolf, I am glad to hear that you are able to give up at least one office and give somebody else the experience :D

Pigpen, I hope Dot is all right again now.

I managed to bake a cake when I came back from town, so that there is something nice for DH when he gets home - because I had the car, he has to walk a couple of miles. On a sunny day like today it's not a hardship.

I am now sorting out papers and other things that I have to take to a meeting this evening.

CY I'm so pleased that DD has at least been awarded something.:T I hope it wasn't too grueling for her; they sure don't make it easy. (This last remembering the medical exam I had to endure). I imagine she'll need a nice restful evening now.:o
