Scottish Power Fixed Tariff
I transferred over from the Online Energy Saver 14 to the Online Fixed November 2013 a couple of months ago.
I have gone onto the scottish power website today and seen they have a longer fixed deal. It now says they have a fixed deal until January 2014.
After checking a price comparison site it says this new tariff is slightly cheaper for me. The prices would now be fixed for an extra couple of months. (as the fixed November 2013 expires the end of October).
Im not sure if they will let existing customers transfer or not but just thought i would post as looks a good deal if anyone else in a similar position

I'm just in the process of switching to the Online Fixed Price Energy November 2013. For our region at least, the prices of the January 2014 product seem to be identical to the November 2013, so they're just adding a couple of months of fixed price.I transferred over from the Online Energy Saver 14 to the Online Fixed November 2013 a couple of months ago.

(What an awful website they have, finding details of tariffs is far more tortuous than it should be!)Stompa0 -
Last week I applied to go onto the Scottish Power Online Fixed Energy Scheme November 2013, as they now seem to have closed this will I be able to change it to the new January 2014 scheme?0

One of major selling points of the Scottish Power Fixed Price tariffs is that there is No Cancellation Fee, and if you only sigend up within the last few days, then you are still in thew cooling-off period.

Assuming you switched via the recent £70 cashback deal (as did I), I wonder if switching again at this point might affect the cashback?Last week I applied to go onto the Scottish Power Online Fixed Energy Scheme November 2013, as they now seem to have closed this will I be able to change it to the new January 2014 scheme?Stompa0 -
Just to update, existing customers can transfer onto this new tarrif.
I was only on the November 2013 fix for a couple of months and they have let me swap. Neither tarrif has any exit fees

That was what I thought. However, I wonder if we need to wait until moneysupermarket cashback has received before switching? That of course runs the risk that the tariff will be withdrawn ... but as it has only just launched, I'd find that surprising.
Any experience on whether a switch (especially during the cooling off period) does or does not invalidate the cashbach?
Can we contact MS and ask them to inform SP>0 -
Cashbacks are normally paid 90 days after gong on supply. If you cancel during the cooling off period then your switch won't complete, so cashback becomes irrelevant. No free lunch, and no free laptop

Dont understand but MSE article on switching states you can get £70 for switching to Scottish Power through Moneysupermarket but when you click link it only states £30!0
