You look at buying a bag on Ebay and all the ones you like are described as "retro".

  • Feeling old as I can relate to lots of things on here ! Bought DH a watch 30+ years ago , some on e bay , now classed as vintage . He still wears it a lot . Remember Elizabeth Estenson , Emmerdale , was in the Liver Birds . I never thought I'd be looking on menus for dishes for smaller appetites or actually feeling pleased that we qualified for the seniors menu in US !

You don't even have to be 'very' old to be made to feel ancient

I remember one of my young men becoming 21 and being his manager it fell to me to give the speech and present. As I was thinking of what pearls of wisdom I could give him, it dawned on me that he was 3 months old when I started work. Now that made me feel extremely old and that was 20 years ago now

You know your getting old when.....

Asked why I didn't want to work full time when the new owner of the company I work for, had a chat with me and I replied "After working full time for 36 years without a break, no children, I feel the need to work part time for a year or two" the response was when I want to move back up to longer hours, we will be happy to redploy you..... yea in your dreams buddy!

I haven't met any other female who has worked this many years continuously (no stopping for having children) am sure there are some ladies somewhere tho.... and having received a letter from the Pensions people saving I have now earned enough credits for a full pension and I am only 51!!!
