I don't feel like I do very much so thanks for your kind words, I will attempt to stay positive (I use Tilly's thread for the same reason).

We have just booked a lovely Thai restaurant for our anniversary on Tuesday, we went there for our honeymoon and fell in love with the cuisine so it should be a nice evening. We have picked somewhere we can go by train so we can both have a drink, although I am working the following day and Mr AJM is driving to go away so it won't be too late.

We have found a couple of historic Scotland sites to visit today, one of which is holding a jousting event. I think Mr AJM had bought food for lunch so will see if he wants to take a picnic for our day on the motorbike.

I need to sort out my accounts later today, I took a print out of my outgoings with me so I could check them off but I need to balance this with my spending to see what I have left for the month as it will be quite a tight one.

I have done my banking and have £8 a day to live on from my account. This would normally be easy but while Mr AJM is away I will be feeding myself from it and I also intend on visiting my parents so need to factor in diesel too. It will be a true challenge for me and if I can manage it I would like to get it down to £5 a day.

Good news, once all the interest has been accrued over the month we should still be under £170k for the total of our mortgages by the end of July.

Tuesday is not only our anniversary but will be 8 years to the day for my ideal MF date as I would like to be able to celebrate our 10 year anniversary being MF on the larger mortgage and we already have enough in savings for the smaller one. We are currently on course to be MF 2 years after this so it will be hard work, we aren't sacrificing anything at the moment so that is something we can hold in reserve.

Need to check against my broadsheet but an OP of £400 a month would get us close to being MR in 8 years on the large mortgage which leads me back to my regular dilemma - OP or bump up savings...

We have been married for 2 years today, ideally I would like to be MF 8 years today.
