I check on here to read everyone else's posts, I just keep forgetting to post in my own diary!
My spending is ok but I haven't been keeping track of it so need to get a grip of it quite quickly to make sure I achieve what I want this month.
I have just had my first PT session of the new block I paid for on my credit card so have transferred that amount across. This seems the best way for me at the moment but in future I will transfer the whole total to my mini savings account and then drip feed the credit card from there. That way the money has been earmarked for the PT sessions but if I desperately need it I can use it and pay the CC off the following month from my wages. Why is it the first one of each new block is so difficult/challenging? Ironically it was more a mental battle today. Some of the things he wanted me to do he knew I was capable of but my brain was telling me otherwise. After giving myself a good talking to I managed to do what he asked but I am a bit battered and bruised from the numerous attempts before I got the technique right. I am not used to jumping on and off and over a box that is at least a 3rd of my height.
The money for my food seems to be ok but sometimes my shopping bill seems higher than it should be. I may need to go back to using the mysupermarket app to see if I can save a bit of money by going to different supermarkets. On the way back from the gym I pass Lid!, A!di and Morr!sons and am very near to a Sainsbugs too. The other 2 main ones are a short walk so I can go to all of them without incurring extra petrol costs.
I am sending an email tonight to start volunteering my services as a marshal for some of the local sporting events. I know they often struggle to get people so hopefully can put some of my spare time to good use. Apparently some of them pay which is not at all why I am doing it (a colleague told me about it yesterday) but every little helps.
Mr AJM is flying down in a week and we have a few days together before we go to do our repair course. I have submitted an application form today which means I will get about 28% of the course fees back :j I need to remember this next time I book one of these courses and try and spread them out so I can make use of the fund at work. I just need to find out if the balance is reset annually or for each financial year.
I think that is all for now. The main thing I need to do is keep track of my spending!MFW 2025 No. 7 £1130/£1200

I spent yesterday trying to get rid of a sore throat and the beginning of a cold but haven't been successful
now my focus has changed to getting rid of it as soon as possible. I am fairly busy for the next few days with no time to be ill!
I was shocked in the supermarket yesterday, everyone was buying a lot of disposable carrier bags, they obviously have no money sense.
Gym later today, haven't looked at my bruises from yesterday but I can feel them. Off to work after that and hope to be in bed by 11pm as I am up early for work tomorrow.MFW 2025 No. 7 £1130/£1200

My cold hasn't shifted yet  didn't sleep very well with it last night. I seem to forget about it while I am at the gym which is good but PT had me running up and down the stairs (I can only assume for his enjoyment as I didn't find it enjoyable) and that has made my chest a bit tighter. I just hope it gets better quickly, I only want to be ill if I can be at home.
My body is aching beyond belief from the gym but today was the last of 3 sessions this week so I am going to give myself a couple of days rest before I even think of doing anything. I didn't even go for a swim after my session today as I didn't think it would do my cold any good and couldn't face it...might have helped my shoulders though.
I have a reunion with my troop mates tonight and then a bigger reunion with more people tomorrow night so looking forward to catching up with a lot of great people.
The only downside is I had a text from my mum 3 hours ago to say my nan was not very well and had been taken to hospital (she is not a hospital sort of person). At the last update she was still with the medical staff and my mum and dad were in the waiting area waiting for information. I hope it is nothing too serious but she is old and quite frail, I am trying not to second guess anything but it is difficult not to. If I do need to make a trip home I will be picking my sister and niece up on the way but I am not suggesting this to her at this point as she will panic and she doesn't deal very well with bad news. Even though I have no idea what is wrong at the moment please could you spare some get well wishes for her please?MFW 2025 No. 7 £1130/£1200

I had a brief text from my mum as they left the hospital yesterday, my nan has pneumonia and is staying in for a few days. While I know plenty of people recover fine from this I can't help but worry. She has smoked for 70ish years and although she has recently stopped I doubt her lungs are in a good condition. I am going to call my mum in a bit to see if they have any more information.
Volunteered at my local parkrun this morning and then joined some of them for breakfast in the cafe after. That is one of the joys of my weekends down here (although I would rather be at home). I don't feel it would be sesnible to exercise until my cold has gone, especially as my sore throat seems to be turning into a little bit of a cough. I am also aching far to much from my PT sessions so I enjoy supporting other people instead.
I have a lot of friends in town this weekend so hoping to meet up with most of them at some point. Only 4 days until Mr AJM comes to stay and so long as my nan is ok, my dad is coming for a visit on Monday.MFW 2025 No. 7 £1130/£1200

We are in Wales ready to start our repair course this week. Looking forward to it, even though the days will be long. I have decided to pay for the rest of the course from my savings. It will be a long term investment, will make things easier for the rest of the month and otherwise I am saving for savings sake.
Off to the next village for dinner soon to meet the other people on the course and then an early night before a long 10 hours tomorrow! :eek:MFW 2025 No. 7 £1130/£1200

I need to check in to my diary more often than every 3 weeks!
I have been fairly busy with work and am making the most of today being a day off to try and let my mind catch up and clear a little. I am going for a swim in an hour which should help as I quite like the monotony of lengths! I still have 9.5 miles to swim over the next 4 weeks as I have been a little lazy over the last 3 weeks! I aiming for 1-2 miles today. I also need to try and do a little better with my fundraising, does anyone have any tips for how to increase the pot?
I seem to be doing ok for money at the moment but with the festive season/parties/night's out coming up I am trying to plan for this now. I am going to finish my shopping list over the next couple of days so I can try and buy everything this month. That way I can enjoy the markets without having to buy anything
I hope everyone is doing ok.MFW 2025 No. 7 £1130/£1200
